Y2K Makeup Look
Hi, I'm recovering from my makeup-disappearing moments, but it's because I've really been trying to find inspiration. I did this last week and today I thought it was a good idea to post it, the 2000's theme has always seemed aesthetic to me in some things and NOT in others! So that's what I tried today.
I lived very well at that time, I was still a child but I had several artists that I really liked, for example Christian Aguilera, Britney, Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, some Disney celebrities, even Paris Hilton herself, she came out with a new scandal, so I did have a reference but somewhat mixed, since Paris was very subtle, living in pastel colors while on the other side a more punk style.
But well, really the makeup was the simplest, in those times it was nothing so elaborate, even with a good liner you were already ready.
Holaaaaa, me estoy recuperando de mis momentos en que me desaparezco del maquillaje pero es porque realmente he estado tratando de buscar inspiración. Esto lo hice la semana pasada y hoy me pareció buena idea publicarlo, el tema de los 2000's siempre me ha parecido algo aesthetic en algunas cosas y en otras NO! Así que ese fue lo que intenté hoy.
Yo viví muy bien en esa época, era una niña todavía pero tenía varias artistas que me gustaban mucho por ejemplo Christian Aguilera, Britney, Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, algunas celebridades de Disney, incluso hasta de la misma París Hilton, ella salía con un escándalo nuevo, así que sí tenía una referencia pero algo mezclada, ya que París era muy sutil, viviendo en colores pasteles mientras que al otro lado un estilo más punk.
Pero bueno, realmente el maquillaje fue lo más sencillo, en aquellos tiempo no era nada tan elaborado, incluso con un buen delineado ya estabas lista.
In my case, I started by doing something with my eyebrows. I wanted to make them a little thinner, but I wasn't willing to sacrifice that much. I just put a little gel on them and later applied a little shadow to define them.
En mi caso comencé por hacer algo con las cejas, quería hacerlas un poco más delgada pero no estuve dispuesta a sacrificar tanto, solo les puse un poco de gel y más adelante le apliqué un poco de sombra para definir.
The eye makeup was quite simple, I applied black shadow but subtly in the corners of the eyelid, in the center I put a white tone without saturating it too much and of course the inevitable black eyeliner on the water line.
El maquillaje de ojos fue bastante sencillo, apliqué sombra negra pero sutilmente en las esquinas del párpado, en el centro le puse un tono blanco sin saturar mucho y por supuesto el infaltable delineador negro en la linea de ojos.
I put on eyelashes because they couldn't be missing in this look, I did the face as usual with a little foundation and some corrections to continue with the lips. Because on this date it was super cool to wear the lips with a well-defined lip liner and then inside a little color or a gloss.
Me puse pestañas porque no podían faltar en este look, hice el rostro como de costumbre con un poco de base y algunas correcciones para continuar con los labios. Y es que en esta fecha era super top llevar los labios con un delineado bien marcado y luego adentro un poco de color o un gloss.
I couldn't decide on what hairstyle to wear but in the end I chose a hairstyle that I myself wore at the time.
No podía ponerme de acuerdo en que peinado llevar pero al final escogí un peinado que yo misma usé en ese tiempo.
I must confess that this hairstyle never really went out of fashion and it is the one we use quite a lot at home, at least in my case yes, but when I had to go out for something I used to wear my hair down. But what do you think?
Debo confesar que ese peinado realmente nunca pasó de moda y es el que usamos bastante en casa, al menos en mi caso sí pero cuando debía salir por algo usaba por el cabello suelto. ¿Pero qué opinan?
