Pickled red onions recipes

Greetings, I want to share a quick and practical recipe to put in salads, sandwiches, tacos or as any accompaniment, it is pickled onions.

For this we are going to start by cutting the red onions into julienne strips and we will put them in a sterilized jar. I actually made one onion.

Saludos, quiero compartir una receta bastante rápida y práctica para poner en las ensaladas, sandwiches, tacos o como cualquiera acompañante, son las cebollas encurtidas.

Para esto vamos a empezar cortando las cebollas moradas en julianas y las pondremos en un frasco esterilizado. Yo en realidad hice una cebolla.

Next, place 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup water, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons sugar in a pot. Heat this up, it is not necessary to boil it.

Lo siguiente es colocar en una olla 1/2 taza de vinagre, 1/2 taza de agua, 1 cucharadita de sal y 2 cucharadas de azúcar. Esto lo calentaremos, no es necesario que hierva.

The next step is to pour it into the jar, but before that we can add any herb or flavor we want, I put pepper.

Lo siguiente es verterlo en el frasco pero podemos añadirle antes de eso cualquier hierba o sabor que queramos, yo puse pimienta.

Now we are going to cover it and let it rest. After 4 hours it can be consumed and we will notice a slight change in color.

Lo siguiente es taparlo y dejarlo reposar, después de 4 horas se puede ingerir, notaremos como ligeramente cambio de color.

Tis the season! I made kimchi & saurkraut today but, they won't be ready to eat for a few more days.

Oh, that's great, my next goal is actually to made kimchi, I live in peru so its challenging because ingredients but soon I will visit a new asian shop here. I want to try kimchi so badly!!!

Diossss! Jajajaja Sabes... Mi padre tenia como costumbre en estas fechas, comprar cebollas pequeñita pequeñitas, del tamaño de una metra de las grandes, le hacía en la parte superior una cruz y luego las ponia en vinagre de uva, en diciembre, eran unos suculentos pasapalos <3 Me fascina la presentación de tus platos.

Ay qué rico, yo amo las cosas encurtidas. Estoy ansiosa porque llegue diciembre para ponerme a hacer de todo, no sabes lo que me mata la espera. Sabes que quiero probar que nunca he hecho yo misma pero mi madre sí, la torta negra pero es que preparaba ese macerado con muchísimos meses de anticipación y yo siempre me acuerdo por estas fechas JAJAJAJA
