Will you be there when it matters the most?
Storm is Over and World's Greatest were two of my favorite songs as a teen. That is when you realize lyrics are not just words; they are meant to resonate, have an impact, change a mood, or provide a burst of temporary upliftment.
This is why Robert Kelly was considered one of the best singers of the 1990s. Except for a few, the songs we have now have no meaning; they are souless, godless, nudity-filled, and worldly.
R-Kelly songs made you feel like you could reach for heaven, and we had daily doses of motivation to stay hopeful, persevere, or, even better, fall in love.
most of 90's songs were uplifting
The guys from the 1990s were the best when it came to songs like that. I listened to Celine Dion in the early 2000s; you could easily fall in love with all of those back-to-back hit songs, and that was a generation where songs were great motivators for people.
Motivation or not?
We desperately need motivation sometimes, especially when reality becomes too difficult to bear. There should always be a reason to persevere, even if it appears that we will lose or die.
Beyond all odds
I read an intriguing story a few days ago. A woman with a genetic condition had children despite the fact that she could have died as a result of the procedure.
She not only had one child, but three, and she raised them all. In reality, another person like her could have died, and she could have been lucky, but whether we are being motivated by stories about luck, grace, or perseverance, we need to believe that circumstances can change for the better even when the present doesn't.
Do you need motivation in crypto
Yes... Maybe
Unfortunately, motivation can only last so long before we fall back into old habits.
For the past eight years in cryptocurrency, there has been constant FUD during bear markets and greed during bull runs.
Most of the people in the game eight years ago were the most motivated; you could swear they would be here forever. They were doing all sort of onboarding schemes and showing the attitudes of believers, unfortunately 80% are long gone.
It's the same today.
A lot of people in the space are like believers, but they are probably just riding the tide, and most of the time, crypto is just a phase of their life, and they leave when the ovation becomes too loud. To be fair to them, we will not always be motivated to stay in the space.
You might make it through two or three bear markets, but the fourth could be the end of you. Being a believer or motivated to make money will not keep you in the space for long, and there is a chance that when the money becomes available, 99% of the people will have left.
For example, it is difficult to wait for Hive at $50 or $100, or BTC at $2 million. I believe that almost everyone in the space would be long gone, not necessarily dead, but 99.9% of people would have cashed in on fiat, losing the generation wealth that is available to be made in 12 to 15 years time.
Longevity in crypto is like fighting against aging.
It is like a fat person standing in front of a mirror and calling themselves chubby, rather than admitting they are overweight and figuring out what to do. Many people in the cryptocurrency space are not built for longevity.
Perhaps if the bull run happened once a year, but it can be mentally taxing to know that you may need to wait 10 to 15 years to achieve financial independence, and it is even more difficult to know that you will need to constantly build over these years, have the discipline required, have a good strategy, and finally pray to stay alive through it all.
When it comes to crypto, motivation alone is insufficient. The ability to have a spirit of longevity is how you will eventually achieve financial independence, but guess what? Only 1% of the population may truly achieve it.
You need mental toughness in crypto.
.... not just motivation
Most people probably do not have what it takes to get there, because there will always be one bear market that will knock you off your feet, and you will be gone forever.
For my part, I believe that when it comes time for those who began as early as ten years ago to achieve financial independence, they will be long gone and forgotten when it matters the most.
Interested in some more of my posts
Inspiration is very important in crypto, many people are burnt once and become hesitant to try again. It's a long term play, and there will be lots of rollercoasters. But I believe in the end that those of us who persevere will reap the rewards my friend!

Memes are doing a lot of burning to newbies in the game, and most of these people just get dumped out, and then they try again to make quick money money in the bull run forgetting they didn't even built anything throughout the bear market.
Hopefully our time will come, I'm counting on it.
Now most of the songs that are been produced are just rubbish. They are not worth listening to, the lyrics are just slothful and meaningless.
I enjoyed reading most of your posts, they are insightful. Though I don't comment most times. And I also like the way you write. I think I am now a new fan of yours 😄
Yes . I agree.. I was an early 90s kid, so listened a lot to these songs. Although as an adult, I don't listen to secular songs anymore, I'm just using it to reference the main point of the post.
It happens that way. Sometimes you don't feel like leaving a comment
I don't listen to most of the new songs, but the old music is great. I tend to like it more than the new stuff. It's tough in crypto, but you just need a plan so you don't feed into the FUD/FOMO as much.
Haha indeed, the FUD/FOMO issues in the bear or bull part of the market is always tricky and honestly it causes more harm than good

I also envision a scenario where when people make it in this space, like life changing money, they exit this space, move fully into the real world to spend that money, and for long or whatever reason the money starts to finish, they hop back into the space, for a second round/change of making another life changing money. I think for the most part, thinking in decades is hard for many people(myself included), so much uncertainty, chaos, unpredictability to gauge correctly what will be around or not after a decade has passed.
Music back then really had soul, you felt every word. And crypto kind of has the same energy. It's not an easy ride and most people just aren’t built for the long haul. Gotta have more than just motivation to win in this one
Yeah. I grew up in the early 2000s and listened to the music then and it wasn't as bad as what we have now, even though I don't really listen anymore.
Yeah. I hope you and I actually last longer.
I hope we do 💪
