My Psychological Approach, Thoughts & Analysis On 20% HBD
This text is not going to be a lengthy one as my main thoughts and ideas are properly conveyed in the video. I decided to jump in on the proposed reduction of the 20% on HBD by doing a video.
It's been over 3 months that I've not made any video and it's special to me that I'm finally deciding to make an emotional return in this particular video.
So this discussion is about analyzing the pros and cons of reducing the APR on HBD and why it's important to understand the reason why a lot of people are choosing HBD as against the hive with the better market prospect, especially with the emergence of the bull market.
I believe that a lot of people are beginning to question the decentralized governance on Hive and why this proposal seems like a coup.
However, in this video, I went on to discuss why Hive has the most decentralized governance model and suggested a particular approach that can be used while getting investors to get investors pumped up about Hive while maintaining that same energy towards HBD.

Lol just when I was accumulating some HBD... but i guess it was inevitable. Hard for a 20% APR to sustain itself. Can't think of any example where a 20% payout maintains its value over a few years.
I think it's a dicey issue, the pros and cons of the removal has to be analyzed properly. Way I'm looking at it, it's either we maintain the 20% or the biggest reduction to about 15%. It's s highly dicey issue.
Dicey for sure.. wouldn't be surprised of a short term sell-off when it gets reduced.
That's why I mentioned in the video that I think the witnesses needs to at least pitch these proposals to some of the biggest HBD holders to know of their stance and the reason why they want to do this
This might be a very helpful approach, I hope the witnesses encounter this video. Like you have duly said the investors are truly primes when it comes to making decisions on this issue. It's very understandable when we have investors coming after the juicy APR cause you can't expect me to keep playing down on my certainty.
The higher the transaction, the better the price of a token. Changing the APR can only have a good effect only if the transaction get healed, and I'm certain changing without proper involvement of the investors might cause broken trust.
Then, working more on marketing is very crucial. Like I do say people are yet to know what hive is.........
Like I repeatedly said in the video, it's all for the betterment of the chain. Making hive marketable is important and so also, it's important to keep HBD investors. I talked about how it's mostly not about sentiment but what people want. HBD is juicy because it's the bear market and their eventually changes when the market changes. This is why I talked about the witnesses taking a cautions approach.

The situation at hand is what we need. The reduction of the APR is cool but I understand how so many people will feel. So many may not be able to make so much interests like they used to but let's just have it this way for the benefit of Hive and its entire members
I agree, but at this point, there just isn't that much HBD and it is quite sustainable right now. It could change with time but I guess that would depend on the witnesses. After all, that determines the APR and it's why people need to increase their HP. Their vote does matter but I don't think there is much I can do myself.
