The Irresponsible Irreplaceables
Money is not a logical commodity, because there's more to the real value than we can actually attest to. In an actual sense, we can see its dominance in the general human lives and how the degree or extent to which people own it can determine their personality or an external perception of worth.
We can say money brings a certain safety and security, the way it bonds people together or the way it severs important relationships that shouldn't be affected by the effect or outcome of money. However, in life, some people would always be in the position to struggle for money, because it seems that the position they are in life makes it compulsory for them to seek financial freedom.
Why is this?
People slot into these roles because they choose to be responsible, sometimes the default duties of people create a mental strength within them to take the mantle and be responsible. However irrespective of the financial obligations a person might have, it still depends on them to decide if they want to accept living a life of duty, selflessness, and denial.
Although people have choices the choice to back down from financial responsibilities can Create a perception of worthlessness, I do believe in life, when people decide to be collectively responsible, it would kill the need to put certain people under the obligation to perform some financial functions irrespective of their financial capabilities.
But this isn't how life works
Familial sentiment is one of the most illogical nuances regarding money.
Some people have to suffer the gross irresponsibility of others because they're family. They have to endure the impunity of these people and spend hard-earned money on them even if it's not worth it. By logic, no one should work so hard and waste money.
But sometimes we go ahead to spend money even if we know that it might amount to nothing. This is to say that a frugal person might even accrue loss, not because they've been wasteful but because of the people to who they've apportioned their resources and these people failed to use it wisely.
So no matter how careful we are, some of our intentional efforts towards making money maybe go for serendipitous purposes that might not yield any results
The most painful part is that, we might even be unintentionally incurring loss because the people were trying to set up with our money are intentionally incurring expenses on our resources. This means that it's always difficult to value the money of others because we do not understand the efforts that were made by these people.
However, because of familial ties, it's always usual for people to tolerate others who choose to be grossly irresponsible because we consider them to be blood and irreplaceable. This is why I think that money's true worth is derived from the sentiment we hold toward others, the prospects we might spend on, and the value we tend to get
Another Path To Entitlement
Tolerate wasteful people bring no value whatsoever, but it's difficult to spell out how wasteful they are, especially if they're related to us. People who have some resources or are a bit financially capable always tread carefully, so as not to be considered boastful or pompous especially when they're trying to tell others to be responsible and make their own money.
People who are entitled are often entitled to the hard work of others, especially because of a familial tie, it's always difficult for them to get out of that conundrum to make their own money. At the end of the day, everyone has people who are deemed to be irresponsible but irreplaceable, most of the time, these people are the Achilles' heel of the people who are trying to attain financial freedom.

First of all, i like the title of this article. And then you didn't sugar coat anything here.
You see this problem of entitlement, I think it is very prominent in this part of the world. And that's the sole reason why instead of moving forward, we are going backward the more. We have a lot of people who don't want to work but depend on others just because they are related by blood. I have seen so many irresponsible men that because their brothers or sisters hold a viable position, they feel so relaxed to do anything. They think they are bamboos. A case of monkey dey work, bamboo dey chop. Very stupid thing.
I once called my cousin and warned her of the outrageous billing she gives me every time. Anytime she sees me on Facebook boom, it is billing. I warned her seriously and told her to go get a job. Since that day, I became an enemy. But who cares? At least the money I would have spent on her, I now use it for something more productive.

I think some of the times this is why it's easier to destroy any impression that one is financially capable. When people begin to perceive a certain kind of stability when it comes to your finances, it becomes a Nigerian thing for them to see you as a money bag. The reason why I named this post this way is because these people have become unnecessary necessary evils in our lives. However because we are related by blood, it is often difficult for us to put them in their place.
However these days families are the people who eventually brings you down, and it is surprising that it is a total stranger that might raise you up. However, when it comes to money, we create some pattern of logic because we are trying to accept or condone irresponsibility
The entitlement is there and I definitely see a ton of that with the Twitter takeover. From what I see, firing over half of the staff hasn't affected the platform that much. I see a ton of them complain all the time and I wonder what type of value they are adding but they feel entitled to the easy job and pay. I laughed when I saw them complain about losing free lunches. Most of us tend to pay for lunch anyways.
