Splinterlands: Celebrating Small Wins In Bad Market Situation
It's been two weeks without writing anything on splinterlands after getting that Possibilius the Wise. I have taken the time to unleash this monster at every turn and believe me, it's not as worthless as a lot of people think.
I must say, it's important to relish every win one gets, whether it's a financial accomplishment or a strategic accomplishment.
Opening a 2$ chaos legion pack and getting cards from inside worth $5 is worth celebrating, and developing the right strategy for beating a stubborn opponent is worth celebrating, this is the same with achieving more with less, a feat that not many people can be able to pull off.
We All See These Accomplishments Differently
Now all these are financial accomplishments and the reason is that some people pay more to achieve less. Beating some of the most formidable lineups means, you now understand the card to buy to fix the anomaly within that lineup.
Some of the ways to achieve financial eureka are when you understand how to do bigger things for even cheaper prices since the aim is to eventually win. I have faced opponents who played level one cards throughout, and they even won Against my level 3 cards, now if the game wasn't tilted at one point in time to reward higher level lineups, that person who brought that level one lineup might keep throwing in that strategy because they've found cheaper ways to win.
Ingenuity Is to be celebrated
When the Money' might not be motivating
One thing I know about splinterlands is that it's possible to cut corners to win and this is the beauty of the game, it's possible to target bigger milestones, defeats the biggest boys in the game, and climb up, but eventually, it gets to that position where one's creativity can go no further.
There are no two ways to make a profit if an initial investment is not there, sometimes, the building becomes possible when the right resources are in place. A lot of people are happy to build cheaper decks while achieving more but imagine what these people can accomplish with an even better and decent deck.
Having More To Do Better Is Delightful
In reality, there's no joy in being limited
even if it's always beautiful to show how much we can do with the little we have. Splinterlands is a play2earn game with so many endless opportunities, without exploring these opportunities it's difficult to even understand the joy of earning. Experiencing this joy creates an urge to win bigger.
Being in such a situation makes you understand that while there's a beautiful feeling that comes with achieving little with less, there's a more accomplished feeling that comes with putting more skin in the game and enjoying the bigger dividends that comes with it. Splinterlands has taught me that there's never too much and there's never too little.
The only difference is the intent within and how far one is willing to go. Even if a person has all the money to completely max out their deck, how about other aspects like land ownership? Buying into each generation of cards, owning limited edition cards and of course many other aspects? This simply means no amount of money will be too much and no amount's too small too. It's a schoolboy's economic concept; how far mostly determines how well..
Gold Might Not be Golden
Anyway, I started this season in gold 3 modern. I'm still locked to earning gold chest, which requires the bar to hit 22k before I can have one chest. It roughly took 2 days to earn one gold chest, whereas I could have earned 5 to 6 silver chests. Surprisingly, while it feels good to earn gold chests, I still feel like earning Silver chests is way better.
There are more opportunities in more numbers, I am one for quantity over quality. There's this assurance in seeing more numbers. Now I don't know the prospective contents of these season's rewards but I want to think that, they wouldn't be different from what I'll get for accumulating more chest.
I wish I could be playing in gold 3 while collecting silver chests. My daily focus has remained and collecting silver chests and I'll like to keep it this way. Finally, I have 70k collection Power, I think I started the year with 20k who knows, maybe another 50k or more next year. So I got something decent in my daily quest, after getting some average daily focus rewards for 6 days in a row.
I think the excitement to get a pack reward is unmatchable. Last season I got a level one legendary in my daily focus. This season, something more exciting (let me show you) and I guess I'll keep getting something exciting in my daily focus, even if it'll be once a week, I don't think I'll mind.
The Joy Of Competition
Excitements as this raise the urge or need to compete, I'll be hoping to at least get an epic card in my end of the Season's rewards. This is possible since they're all gold chests, but then, it's a game of probability and this is even what makes it more beautiful. I think the effect of the bear market is bigger than we realize in the game.
I tend to feel that people are still used to the times when the rewards feel unthinkable, but basically, there's nothing wrong with building in a period like this, I think we won't have the bear market forever, and I like to see everything I've strived for better market situations happens. There's nothing bad with celebrating those little wins especially when the dollar value creates a feeling of worthlessness. This period is the biggest challenge for any project built on crypto, but it's a phase, it's inevitable, keep building, keep hoping
Interested in some more of my works?
Some are not too impressed with Possibilius The Wise but I think otherwise, I have been beating it until last week when an opponent used it against me, it was the most effective way I encountered it against me which affirms my thinking that it is a deadly summoner.
Wining with fewer resources is part of the game, I find myself in that state as well winning against level 6 summoners which is the cap summoner for the Gold league against my level 4.
Interesting how the competition around the game is never boring.

I think Possibilius the Wise is a great summoner, but people are used to the Vegas and Yodins of this world, I think that's why. Another reason is that they've not found the right way to use the summoner. In a a battle of poison for example, it you arrange powerful melee monsters, they'll give you double dose of attack. I love it really.
As for me, I'm like that too, using some little resources to aim for big wins.

It's not the best summoner but that is still nice to have because there is only a limited number of them and a summoner is always in demand. It's just that with Keyla, I don't think Possibilius is that great of an option and I am not that impressed with my opponent's lineups with it either.

Ohhh I know, I think a lot of people might not like it, but I think it's not bad. I guess the expectations makes it so. I think everyone expects the next summoner to be better than the last, so I think because of this, the Possibilius falls short. But maybe it's me being too sentimental but it's s decent summoner.
I think it's because I have Yodin and Byzantine Kitty at level 1. They kind of spoiled me at what to expect from a legendary summoner.

Everything we get the opportunity to achieve is worth celebrating. Those little wins are someone's big wins and even our own big wins at some point in our journey.
I think 50k is something really huge and I won't even see it as little wins because I don't even have 1k, you see! 😂
Congratulations to you on your wins, whether big or small they are all wins 🥰.
Lol I meant 70k collection Power ohh, it's actually very small considering that I'm still playing in the silver League. As per not having 1k, I bought some pack last year during the bull market and that's why I'm having some to actually compete. But then I'm still appreciative to have it.
Okay, I get it better now, hehe, you know I don't know too much about the splinterlands game 🙈. It is well sha 😂
Loool you thought it was money? Hahaha
Not really but I thought it was something that was really valuable, hehe
Lol it's the requirement I need to move from league to league.
Oh wow! So how many is left for you to move to the next level?
I'm still left with gold, then diamond, then champion I guess, it's gets costlier and more expensive to move places.
Hmm, I know so, hehe, that's the only thing I know about the game 😂, it is really costly in almost all ramifications. You and Joe are doing really well sha 👏
