Porn-Content on Hive to Gain Traction.

ALERT! This is a massive clickbait, and you should never consider this disgraceful and sinful act on Hive, but continue reading anyway."

So I was going about my daily routine on Twitter when I noticed one porn content that had millions of views. This was not the first time I would seen it; most of the time, they get crazy bookmarks and quotes, and the comment sections are extremely outrageous.

Now, it is not necessarily visual pornography, but the drooling and paint pictures give you the impression that it is. Personally, I do not believe this is for monetary gain or traction, but it is not a new phenomenon that pornographic content sells.

This has been demonstrated in the porn industry as a whole, with some people suddenly opening only-fans pages to make money, and others paying exorbitant prices for such content.

Now you might think the X algorithm would do something to curtail this incessant contents, but it's surprising how you've never ever clicked a porn content before, yet you'll get them on your "for you" Twitter section page.

I click on a lot of political and crypto content but never on pornographic content, so why does the algorithm bring it up?

The Bot Algorithm On Twitter Sees The Population As Perverts

I believe the algorithm suggests it because it sees how many people are max-clicking it and assumes that everyone will be interested. It is exactly like how advertising works. People are recommended the most popular product because they believe they will be interested if others are.

It is like a robot algorithm saying "Oh, it looks like we have 7 million perverts; might as well push it to the remaining 200 million users because there is a chance they are all perverts."

I did not bother checking the creator of this porn post because I did not want the algorithm to catch it.

I wanted to check their post to see if they are consistently creating porn content, or if they have just started doing it because they saw the numbers and are now creating more porn content.

It is always what the algorithm wants, and sometimes these types of creators progress to become full porn creators because they can first earn Elon Musk's money, then gain traction, and finally become a porn influencer.

On Hive

I have seen creators gravitate toward suggestive posts in the past; some were full-fledged sex content, while others were partial and only suggestible.

The first time I saw a user do this type of post, it received a lot of comments and votes, but it was unlikely to last because Hive frowns on sexual or pornographic content. If this were not the case, bikini posts would be at the top of the trending list.

Many have tried it, but it has not worked because many people here believe it is simply a form of sexually appealing to people's sensuality in exchange for votes.

Shit-posting?

Some people consider it shit-posting because the images are likely to be low quality: two to three JPEGS and they are off. This is why porn content doesn't sell here.

You will be surprised how creative some users are, and how well they do it, but most of the time Hive shapes people to create what it (Hive) wants.

This is not necessarily a good thing.

However, a user is more likely to engage in content that they believe is more rewarding. Consider the vibes contests; even if a user is not a musician, they will most likely channel their inner Celine Dion because of the famous $1,000 weekly rewards.

As for frowning at sexual content, It is not because there are not any perverts here; the main reason is that people prefer not to see pornographic content and are at odds with more realistic content. So, does this imply that pornographic content is of poor quality?

We all agree, and I believe more than 70% of the people here will agree. So, why is it considered quality on Twitter? That is simply because we do not use the same algorithm as web2.

Unique, not better

This does not imply that our algorithm is superior; rather, it distinguishes it from others.

Sexual contents, in my opinion, have no intrinsic value, and this is not because of values or righteousness; it is simply because they do not add value that can be counted on.

People who create porn content are typically lazy; they slap JPEGS or phrases in the hopes that it will appeal to people's sensual and sensory aspects, and if they receive a significant number of votes, this will encourage a much larger population to participate, and this site may simply become a web3 pornhub.

People have a tendency to stick with what works for them, but thankfully, that is not the case here.

As long as it is not criminal (e.g. child porn), I think nudity and even porn should fall under legit content, also on Hive, why not? The free market of votes/downvotes will decide if such content can thrive (probably it won´t anyway). If people don´t like it, they can easily unfollow or mute creators. Also the frontends can filter NSFW stuff, so where is the problem? Hive should allow everything, unless it is plagiarism, scam and spam. That could discriminate us from hyper-morale social media like fb and Insta where a naked woman is already a scandal and needs to be censored.

Yes, everyone can choose what they want to view: people they want to follow and the type of content they want to see by either following or unfollowing. I think this is why it's unique here, and not like other traditional web2 media where you're forced to see things whether you want them or not. Personally I wouldn't want the trending pages to be filled with porn contents, of course the free-will to create anything is always there. For me, I think it's my opinion.

Good enough, all those shit contents aren't trending on hive. I think the only thing I have seen so far here on hive is a kind of indecent picture of one lady at the beach with her boyfriend..they were almost naked, the upvote was what drew my attention and I was wondering... anyways, it's their choice to create whatever content they wish, and it's also my choice to follow or unfollow.

Hahaha I think there's a mindset in some people that others might be interested in their naked or half naked pictures and maybe they can earn upvotes through it. It's bad to see such post gaining attention, because honestly showing off ones body to gain financial attributes is something that's bad in my opinion.

There will always be people looking for that type of content. I don't think it will go away, and I think its good to see that Hive has not gone that far. I don't see anything wrong if people want that type of content or if they make that type of content because I can just ignore it if I don't like it.

We can also ignore, the problem I have is if that type of content begins to make the trending pages on Hive, it will sell us short as maybe a web3 version of only-fans and I don't think we want the Blockchain to be portrayed in that light

Sex sells as they say, and Twitter takes advantage of the population seeking that type of material. Fortunately Hive is dripping with sex appeal, which is probably a good thing because we would lose a lot of content creators disgusted by the smut. I guess the AI thinks humans are all porn addicts! lol

The Twitter AI is meant to milk attention and I think it's probably because of ads. Posts like that are heavily advertised on, so the more the people, the more the ad revenue and yes, sell the porn content to the addicts lol. It's just all about money to them

I never consider those who have turned sex into a business and become the owners of huge amounts of money to be good people. They are selling sex, which is an absolutely disgusting act. I have also seen some unwanted sexual content appearing on some social media platforms, and this is undoubtedly their low-level business strategy. We must be aware of our own position.

Well that's how it works. I guess the media is just giving more of what a population wants to consume to an even larger population.

Hehehe! So the click bait worked. This is one of the reasons I like Hive, you don't get to see some kind of shit content here

Generally some people don't see porn-posting as shit content, but a larger population does.

I think an additional reason people don't post much pron is that the same content could earn them more elsewhere. The returns are too small compared to what they can earn elsewhere.

I don't understand, do you mean if they post the porn content elsewhere that it's like to earn them more money than on Hive?

Yes. It's not guaranteed, but it is possible for "content creators" to earn significant amounts of money on websites like OnlyFans or webcam sites. Of course, this requires that they have the banking connections to receive their earnings.

It just reveals how perverted the world is. Even in advertisment, they are tending to using porn contents to attract people

And yet I believe that Hive could be an amazing place for people who make artistic nudes, both graphic art and photography. No censorship, so they could post uncensored works for those who appreciate it.
I follow many amazing photographers on Instagram that have to constantly fight against being censored and shadowbanned.
Here they could even get big rewards for their works through upvotes. Too bad I don't know them personally or I would try to invite them to post here their stuff
