Playing The Survival Game: Human Nature In Introspection
Survival is one hectic game, this is because of how repetitive and continuous it can be. However, it does not necessarily mean fighting for scraps to stay alive or having limited resources shared by several people.
Sometimes, survival is also a personal game. The stress of getting by daily, the ease of closing a day where you nearly lost your resolve. Keeping your mental health in check, while running the business of other people or yours.
Programming your mind to make profits in difficult situations. Preventing loss in different circumstances, undertaking ventures, and challenging ourselves to extract value from even the most difficult situations.
The Thrill Of Survival
Every day, the thrill of survival makes us take uncalculated risk, with the hope that it doesn't come back to bite.
There are things we do, and we already know the consequences, but we still do them, leaving ourselves to hope that these consequences would not be our lot. In a survival bid, we threaten our state of mental comfort, trusting people more than we should and hoping they don't betray us.
Everybody runs a survival race in their head, minds, and personal lives, sometimes our survival depends on people, and we know it might be very risky, be we still choose to.
Trust for example can be a survival instinct
How so?
.....there are people we don't know, but we hand them our lives, trust them with our money, and give them access to everything that makes us. Most of the time, we do so because it's the only choice.
However, finding the fortitude to even make the decision, is one of the survival games we do on a daily.
For example, there are things we do for money, originally we wouldn't do, but because the situation at hand is a matter of life and death, we're left with a mental scale of preferences, forgoing something to gain another.
Win Or Lose?
Every day we fight the survival battle and win, there are days we'd eventually fight and lose and it the cycle repeats. So while we're fighting to survive mentally, we are often faced with the struggles of replicating this physically.
Some people need to confess positive things to themselves after they wake up in the morning. This is because life can be subconsciously demotivating especially when we envisage the mental fortitude we need daily to keep going.
Sometimes we cannot produce the fortitude to keep going, this is why we mostly have to fight every day to align our minds and body, else, we might never even be able to find enough strength to survive externally.
The Mental Fortitude Needed To Replicate External Strength
For example, people who hate their jobs have to constantly remind themselves that they need to be in that job to survive, or else they might never even have the mental strength to wake up every day.
This is why surviving is an internal and external game. We replicate the former in the mind and manifest the latter in the physical.
Interestingly, things like sickness, death, hunger, poverty, and unfair competition for resources are some of the things people combat when it comes to survival.
The illusion Of Collective Benefits
But if push comes to shove, this is when you begin to realize that survival is a lone game, even if the illusion of cooperation is always there. For example, when a group of people are depending on their joint skills for survival.
Some people in the group benefit more than others, the people who benefit less cannot complain because they need the support system of the others even if their contribution to the group is bigger.
However, when the resources everyone seems to be dependent on start to dwindle, the people who already enjoy the unfair advantage will still want to deny the others who get lesser resources to thrive on.

The need to survive is what makes some to still be with their 9 to 5 jobs. They have a family to feed and instead of working on that their dream or passion, they remained in their job to be able to survive first.
This is true, some jobs are a direct threat to one's life, but we mostly cannot help it. The need to survival comes before anything and while this feels dangerous, it's what we tend to as humans.
Thank you for coming through.
Very interesting it's our survival instincts in us that prompt us to do certain things.....
Exactly, we deem survival as the ultimate where we draw no line or see any limit..
I think the internal game about survival is the hard part for many people. We constantly experience a mental conflict with every decision we make about survival. Losing can bring about dire consequences in the present so we do whatever we can to possibly win. Although, sometimes the things we do end up bringing much dire consequences in the future.
When it comes to survival, we are forced to think only about the present while we hope for the best in the future.
The mental aspect of survival tends to determine the physical aspect and most of the times, we have to dig deep within ourselves to find the motivation to survive. You're right, the desperation for survival makes us do questionable things. Sometimes, we justify these things with the idea that survival is above everything. It's a hectic game.
Yes, playing the survival game comes with serious trade-offs and when we get used to the game, everything seems justifiable from our own point of view. The game hardly ends in this day and age.

Everyday single day is a day of battle, it is amazing how relentless humans can be in the quest for survival with money being the most driving force.
It is not easy to trust in the process of striving to survive but we have to trust someone anyway since we can't always go all by ourselves, which is one of the ways we win or lose.
We cannot always go by ourselves in life, at some point in time, our survival antics or strategies will be dependent on others. It's the reason why we must strive hard to have the best people in life, so that we can collectively have them journey with us on our survival quest. Nothing like having people as this.
Living is not much fun when you grew up taking up challenges from a young age. The memories you are sticker with are the ones which edge on to surviving the harsh climate of life.
Survival instincts sets in everything we need to do to carry on the next day. We battle endlessly with lots of things and take uncalculated risks to survive. Things aren't easy but we edge one every day with the hope to survive the day's trouble.
Life's isn't easy and survival is even tougher. Nevertheless, people can be resilient; we all can be resilient when it comes to survival. It's in our nature to seek survival by all means.
Yes, it is. We just need to keep going.
Survival is not an easy thing and that is why sometimes we get tired but as we are building ourselves physically we must almost also build ourselves mentally to keep carry on no matter what. Survival is winning
Survival may seem like something you can do on your own, but in the long run, you can only survive in a group. It's important for people to try to do well for themselves, because the benefits of success can be shared with the rest of the community. This kind of sharing can only happen if everyone in the group is honest with each other. So, the person who made the value will get the reward they earn, which can encourage them to make more value. This is only what I think.
