Money VS Moral: An Unending Conversation.
The endless quest for money is often perceived as terrible because in life the discussions about money and morals will remain endless. Of a truth, the world is full of people, businesses, and ventures that are aiming to make all the money in the world to the last cent and even at the expense of those with little, and because of these human excesses, we often tilt or hold on to our humanity rather than give in to our beastly tendencies.
Some of the ways we do this are that we often preach balance and contentment, rather than greed and instability. The concept of slave trades in the early 1900s was born out of pure exploitation, as we gradually became more sophisticated, we learned that this shouldn't be.
How has the concept of exploitation been redefined?
This isn't to say exploitation has stopped, it's generally existent in all aspects of finance it's just that it's been redefined and gentler too. One of the reasons why we often frown at laying too much emphasis on money is because we feel the focus on money deviates us from the right values. However, I believe that money is only a tool, the spending habit and culture of a person is what creates their money identity.
This is why focusing on money and not concentrating on developing or prepping ourselves for it can make us lose ourselves to it when we eventually have it. This means that if we let money control us rather than the other way around, we might lose values like contentment or selflessness, which often takes away an aspect of our humanity.
Money & The Atypical Control
One of the things we must never do in our quest to keep our humanity is to never let money control us, however, in life people, businesses, organizations, and government have done despicable things in the name of wealth. This is to say that to get to the pinnacle of wealth, people throw away the playbook and go against the rules and this often results in losing themselves.
When people who are already wealthy try to exploit the poor, you can agree that their humanity is no longer intact, or else they'll have seen the wrong in doing this. This is one of the reasons why we extol virtues like contentment and discipline because it keeps us from going astray.
In human relationships, people have been encouraged to build themselves, build solid and "original people goals" rather than focusing on money, but the truth is sometimes what money can instantly do for us, blinds us better impact people can make in our lives so we have more people choosing money over people because the former provides instantaneous relief from debts, wants and needs.
But the latter is uncertain. Life can make people uncertain about what they want. There are times people are controlled by their material needs, which makes it difficult to identify if they're good or bad people. However, when people are controlled by their needs, it means they can be controlled by money which means they can trade their loyalty at any point in time.
Stability & Money
Because we often seek stability, it's difficult to establish it with people who are easily swayed to actions, especially with the availability or unavailability of money.
However irrespective of how money can change people, we need it to change our lives, take charge of it, bring our goals to reality as well as accomplish things.
This is why we cannot dismiss the essence of money irrespective of how it might change us. At one point in time, we have to understand that we would eventually change especially when trying to seek money and our commitments to family and people change. This is to say that we're going to make sacrifices along the way, especially when we have to make choices between choosing people or money.
In reality, we can never end the money vs moral conversation and this is because we're sentimental and our judgments and inputs will eventually be flawed. At the end of the day, we're all going to experience changes in different dimensions in the endless grind to make money but then, it's dependent on us to control the type of change we want to experience, while we can change, it's important to keep the core codes and principles that make us who we are in our endless grind for money.

“Teach your kids about money before religion brainwashes them it’s evil”. This is a popular saying I hear often these days because of how people who are poor in the name of religion, paint money and wealthy people as evil.
Yeah sure, money can be evil if you let it’s presence, or your chase for it lead you into evil things, but it is just as good. Whether money is good or bad depends on the individual and how well they can control their urge to get money and how they spend that money once they acquire it.
Even the Lord Jesus Christ himself in his time on earth wasn't poor, I wonder why anyone would think they should be poor because of religion. It's a crazy mindset though. Money itself is just a tool we're the ones who actually gives essence to it and that's why I think that money is never evil. Being Financially free, is never evil. Life's meant to be enjoyed.
Exactly. People do a lot of things that drag them down in the name of being religious. Some group of people even have a popular saying that “this world is for the wealthy, and the after life is for the poor”. As if being poor guarantees you a spot in heaven, and being rich condemns you to hell. Smh.

Control can sometimes be an illusion.. like in money matter, but sometimes we need illusion to gain control and that's totally Depends on Person.
Your Points are valid and On Point! One shouldn't lose our principal in this race.
At the end of the day, it's a personal thing, we we individually have unique ways of dealing with issues relating to money and I guess that's why we cannot completely have 100% control even as much as we are trying to.
Well said!
This is deeper than it sounds, we have so many people that are controlled by materials things and their loyalty can be easily bought. This happen to people who believe they are too pretty to work or looking for quick money.

Hahaha you're right, people who believe they're too pretty to work. I guess men are the reason why this culture still works because they believe they can marry for beauty. The person I may end up with might be not be beautiful, the mindset of growth is better than that of entitlement. Thanks for paying attention here bro.
I believe it is the love of money that they say is the root of all evil, and not money itself.
The pressure to not lack needs, and sometimes wants, often drives the human mind into seeking means to abolish those feelings of lack. And without measures taken and a conscious assessment of one's humanity, we are bound to change and lose some essence of our humanity.
Fixating one's entire thought process on achieving money will lead one to focus on amassing even more money. It won't stop, and therefore, it will lead one's humanity to deplete drastically. That's when decisions that may be to the detriment of other people's well being will be taken, because the innate conviction of what's wrong is in flight mode.
I wouldn't say that money isn't good. It's great and all. As a matter of fact, I consider it to be a necessity because how else do you want to trade with the world and survive?
The money vs. moral conversations will never end. It is one's duty to periodically run an assessment on their humanity, lest they be led astray by their desire for money.
Haha well done, thanks for that continuous accessment. Well I think we eventually need to establish a balance if not, we'd see ourselves doing it wrongly. Morals will eventually come into play when it comes to money and we will eventually end up arguing for and against. The truth of the situation is that it's always going to be difficult to establish an equilibrium.
The morals versus money argument is tough and it differs from person to person. However, I do think that everyone should try to live within their means and try to be financially free. After all, when money is no longer an issue, I think people can do what they want and that is why I put being financially free first.
