Leofinance: Leader of the Pack ππ π; My Entry
I've continued my sketch, the last one did get some decent reviews. The Zealy campaign is going down the wire and I'm doing my bid to support the campaign. The major theme has been lion art in the representation of Leofinance, and so far, this would be my third entry. The quest this time around is to draw/design a lion family and this was going to be tough because of the number of lions that I might need to draw.
The end result
The most delicate part is conceptualizing the kind of drawing. A lot of entries utilize the cartoon kind of drawing, some people do 2D. Sketching a cartoon lion for this kind of entry might be quite easier, because, the number of the lion might make it difficult. I'm a sucker for details, so I wouldn't really like to put in such an entry. So I decided I was going to sketch a real lion family.
Choosing this type of entry meant I'll have to put in more effort because detailing up to four lions would be challenging. There's this diminishing return that an artist reaches when there's a lot of work that needs to be done on a sketch, so drawing four lions might mean that the last lion would be somehow affected and the first lion will have all the efforts.
I like the details that come with the mane work. Drawing the mane and the nose are the two most definitive aspects of a lion that one must pay enough attention to and this is what I've decided to do. Approximately, I spent close to two hours on all the drawings. The shading is one of the most important aspects of pencil drawing.
Since pencils do not have colors, it's important to use the sketch to represent the different patches giving some dimensional representation to the drawing. Here I used two pencils in other to draw the lines as well as shade the broader places. The shadings are very visible, what do you think?
The idea here is to closely interpret the theme of the drawing and here is a lion king with his mate and two cubs. Basically, lions are territorial and protect their cubs, so there's always available and trying to protect their cubs and continue their lineage as well as their legacy.
Here's the process. What do you think?
Interested in some more of my works?
Another dope one!
You're slaying those quests hard mate! Haha, I liked this one.
Thank you, I didn't know this one will turn out really good...
We have so many talented artists here.
This is very beautiful
Thank you, it was a good process
I had no idea you had a knack for pencils too...
Really nice! I love how much attention you paid to get the details right.
You are doing well
I had this knack for art when I was younger, but I didn't develop the talent. It wasn't a talent that put food on the table, so you know, a gullible opportunity cost. But I decided to do some drawings for the Leo campaign
I completely understand. π
I'm glad the Leo campaign gave us a chance to discover your secrets π
Of course, the shadings are visible. This is really amazing. I really give kudos to artists because it's not easy. You spending 2hrs plus isn't a small thing. I love the end result which depicts a Lion family. Well done.
It's really not easy, so thank you. Hahaha I can't really consider myself an artist, I'm just making small efforts. Thank you

Nice drawing. It's way better than what I could make and I like the step-by-step process. You drew everything in parts and it was all systematic.
Thank you, the campaign is heating up and it's becoming more challenging, I hope I can be able to compete and finish
Way better than my drawings, reminiscent of children's.
Hahaha well, it takes a lot of practice, thank you.
Wow! Your drawing is amazing β€. This requires a lot of time, effort, and patience to be able to do thisπππ.
I've been on this quest, but I stopped. Guess it's time for me to start again.
Oh, it's a challenging quest, this I know. I started once but stopped and continued again, so you can too. Thank you, I enjoyed the process.
Yeah, it's so challenging. Oh wow! good you're back on track. This is a sign I should get back on track tooπ, and I will.
You're welcome
Of course you should, but mind you, it wouldn't be easy. But hive is generally fun when we enjoy the challenges.
A man with many talents, I didn't realize you have a talent of this kind up your sleeve Jose. Great stuff!
Haha I still feel and believe that I am a rookie. Although better than some others, but art is something I could relatively do well.
This is actually what i reΓ¦lly love about Hive, some how it has a way of bringing out the best in you, I'm sure if some one had told you couple of years back you'd be these good you would just laugh so hard your belly hurts, true I no dey whyne you man, you re good...infact you should think of opening am art gallery soonπ»
An art gallery? π€£π€£ This is probably just a decent rookie art, although I didn't nurture the skill, I just wish I did. One has to be versatile on the street to survive. Thank you, I think I might keep paying attention to the art now
Wow.. The art work is beautiful π₯°π
que buen dibujo
