Guild Report: Fleeing Battle.
For the first time in a while, I fled a battle and ended up with 3 wins and five losses. Although abandoning the Guild game wasn't something I intended to do. I had this massive network outage and before I could get back to the game, it already recorded that I fled the game.
Although there was no certainty that I was going to win the match. It was just unfair that I didn't get the chance to still compete. However, I've been beneficiary of people abandoning the fights unintentionally and I try as much as possible not to be in that position, but some guild elements are things we can hardly control.
So it's probably fair that someone else took that easy win. Losing without putting much of a fighter can be frustrating. It was an exciting Guild outing and I must say that it turned out well. This time around all my opponents filled their spots and I didn't get any added advantage of automatically winning an abandoned game. It's probably the worst outing in many weeks. 0.8 merit and 8 SPS isn't the best, tough luck.
I don't think my guild members completely filled the fray, this might have contributed to the low SPS output, but I think a lower win rate also contributed too. One thing about this is that the Guild takes up the challenge in the next game and collectively puts in a stellar performance.
For me, I think my outing was poor. My tactics and strategies didn't play out as I'd have wanted it, but then it's luck. Sometimes you face stronger opponents or the Ruleset just fails you. Sometimes it's the timing of selecting a perfect team. Sometimes you spend too much time calculating and end up selecting wherever you see, so that the time will not elapse. It's mostly better than not submitting any team at all.
Time Runs Out When You Overthink A Strategy
Sometimes it's better to submit a team out of haste than not submitting anything, especially when you run out of time because of overthinking the proper strategy, I think this is one of the reasons why people unintentionally flee the games. My Possibilius the wise remains my biggest summoner. When I firstly got it over 16 months ago, it was $112 for level 2 GFL. Although the price should have tanked now, but I can say it helps me compete and win a lot of games.
It's great having the soulbound summoners too, they help a lot and I've been able to do well using them. This time, I couldn't buy any gladius case (low merit output), hoping I'll be able to do so in the next Guild outing
Interested in some more of my works
The soul bound summoners are kind of hard to use because of the high mana and in guild battles I never use them. Anytime I can use Quora or Kron I tend to try and take advantage because my win rates are so high using them. I tend to build my team really quickly because like you said when you overthink you lose more in my experience. I also like to stick to my "go to" cards that I use more just because I've had luck with them.
All the new cards are starting to show up now as well which I'm having more difficulty adapting to them since I just don't use them yet. It's gotten tougher recently though! You did pretty good there! Every time around is different depending on the strength of the opposing guilds.
How are you feeling today?

It's true. Sometimes no matter the Ruleset, you already have cards in a frame of mind that you're intending to use. I also try not to overthink it. It can actually cost one the game, entirely. I use the soulbound summoners more in ranked battles. But rarely in guild battles. I don't have the kron, it's a powerful card but renting it too isn't so expensive, but I don't have the funds. Maybe I'll just rent to test it one day.
Also the new rebellion cards. I sold the 4 packs I bought intially. I needed the Money to quickly solve stuffs.
I'm just here again, my worries mostly get the better of me, maybe sometimes I just snap out of it, at least it allows me sleep 5 to 6 hours at night. How about you.
Hanging in, I have some more autoimmune inflammation in my foot that keeps recurring thanks to the COVID vaccine. So I'm limping around until medication calms it down.
It's good that you're getting sleep, many times I end up taking a sleeping pill which I hate...
You mainly play in gold don't you?
The COVID vaccine is a cancer. I wonder why this is so. It's heartbreaking that is currently happening, but I hope it doesn't get worse, and that you can keep managing it. I refused the vaccine though I felt my immune system wasn't that tough to accommodate it.
I play in gold about 30% of the time. I don't trust my cards to 100% play there.

Sorry to ask ooh
I know guild is in Splinterlands but is it another section entirely or what exactly?
There are two tier in the game
It sucks to flee a battle but I agree with a hasty team when you don't have much time. It's better because your opponent might also submit a bad team.
Yeah, truly suck to abandon a game. Better to just register the game, chance might be that the opponent might put in a subpar performance too
There are some days when a person is losing more games and winning less, so it is better that a person should play fewer games during these days, otherwise the rank of a person will decrease.
Those errors when trying to submit a team are the worst. I hope they can consider making submitting a team for guild battles not limited by time, just make it the same deadline for the whole brawl.
Exactly, limiting guild games with time just like in ranked battles are the reason for this that. They can be very painful, especially when you think you had the chance to win
