Final Boss - Boss Slayer πŸ’€: My Entry

avatar

This is the last "Art" challenge in the artist category of the Zealy campaign and my goodness, it's been a long ride. The reason why this was probably titled "Boss Slayer" is because that is the intent of the whole challenge; to be able to win at the end of the whole contest.

The instructions for this one is to Draw/Design/Create an image of a powerful Lion who just defeated a final boss

The end-result

It was difficult coming up with this concept since almost every entry I saw had the same element and I wanted to do something different. So what I did was to draw a man-lion that had just defeated a king Lion and severed his head, then held the high up in the sky changing with a great cry of victory with blood and gore dripping down.

This was a bit challenging because I had to draw this again from my imagination. The idea that a strong lion defeated a boss must come with an element of fierceness and brutality. This was the main reason why I created this concept. In the drawing, I decided to depict the boss slayer as an old and fierce lion king.

You can see from the drawing that he's wearing a crown, even though his head was already cut off and he was dead. The powerful lion who defeated him was also strong and this was depicted through his mighty biceps and sweat-dripping body.

Displaying victory must come with a loud gesture, especially when the battle and the opponent were worthy and the scuffle was mind-bending. In this challenge.

The drawing process was quite challenging. I decided to give an entry that's worthy of an NFT. The shadings were done by two different pencils and you could obviously see it from the dark and light shading.

I also decided to use a pencil to create the details. Coloring this one would take the details away, so I decided to leave it, especially if there's a chance that it might be digitized.

Wow... you must have had a deeper thought before arriving to this creative drawing... doing something different from others is so unique of you

I don't need to ask how many hours this work took from you cos it's obvious that such big effort will consume lots of time

I love the end result
Good job and well done Joe 😍 βœ…

It took a lot of time for me to get it done. Because I wasn't using crayon or watercolor it was much more difficult to draw the details. Too many people use crayon and watercolor to hide details and drawing. So this one took quite a lot of time as well. I'm happy with the end results as the quest is finally coming to an end.

Thanks a whole lot for your comment and support as well I think from next week I might be free or a little bit

What a journey it has been so far, the boss has finally being slayed by a powerful warrior lion! It must've been a great experience to make all these drawings. Your art concepts are always unique.

I don't know why you didn't participate in the contest, you could have gotten some good exposure as well.

Yes I could have. The main reason I didn't participate is because I couldn't create the time to focus on participating during the campaign.

This is so amazing and I really love the backstory to the drawing.

Quick question:
are those who cannot draw excluded from this category?

Well you progress from the category. This typically means that there are levels to which you must get to before another category is unlocked for you. So they'll judge if one's entry is good enough

Acting different from a given challenge is also as a result of presumptuous disciples gathered so far from the art and that shows many more things can be discovered once you can imagine in your brain it can come to reality.
I hope you win the challenge

Your today's art is just awesome. You have made all things so well that the way we see the human body also seems to be real.

That's so badass! I work with the Splinterlands creative team so I get see a lot of cool art, but you've got a lot of talent man. Would be cool to see some of this art turn into characters in SL or any other game!
