The Art Of Being Frugal: The Futility In Spending
Sometimes the fear of loss often overshadows the joy in gains because most times, people would choose to rather be safe than to be sorry and who doesn't? This is rhetorical, of course, no one wants to go back to ground zero even if they could sacrifice the position they are to move upwards. The reality of the situation is that frugality or the art of being frugal isn't the same as being responsible with spending. It's just being reactive rather than being progressive.
Spending is inevitable and this is because money isn't exactly for saving even if we save, money will be inevitably spent because that's its true purpose. We spend to become accomplishing. This means that there's no way we can run our lives without spending. Every day, we always have to make decisions to spend and the only thing we can aim for is being frugal in the face of indiscipline while being wise in the face of opportunities.
To me, frugality is meant to curtail excessiveness, but some people have become the definition. of Frugal because of the lessons life has taught them. But we cannot cease to live because we're frightened of the consequences that come with making mistakes. In this video, I talked about why frugality isn't a wise choice especially when we're surrounded by myriads of opportunities

This topic is so deep and touching. But I just believe it's better to be safe cus one will surely want to spend one way or the other..
No joy in being frugal, it's just what we become when we're scared of being wasteful.
I used to have this habit of spending all my money once it left the note form. What I mean by this is that if I have say a $100 note, I’d spend it all if I spent as little 50cents from this $100. The rest is just change lol.
With money, I would like to believe like anything else, experience is the best way to learn how to spend(or not to spend). Like you said, the old fashioned way. Or the hard way if you’ll say it my terms haha.
Well I think if everything you're spending on is totally worth it, then there's absolutely no cause for alarm. Provided you're achieving things with it and it's beneficial to some certain extent. Frugality doesn't take one anywhere and there's no joy in frugality. Sometimes terrible experiences in the past is why people choose to be frugal.
