Ads are becoming more invasive but profitable.
I am an avid football and cryptocurrency fan. Most of the time, I consume content from these two. Football, I have noticed, is one of the most profitable niches out there. Football players are among the highest-paid in the world, and this translates into revenue for the industry.
I am not surprised that billions of people on the Internet consume football-related content. People need to relieve stress, and football is one of the most enjoyable sports. Eight out of ten people are interested in football, making it one of the most popular niches for advertisers.
One thing I have noticed is that pornographic websites are primarily taking advantage of this large audience to place advertisements on football as a niche. Porn is an annoying advertisement, just like betting. I understand that betting is relative to sports, but how does pornography relate to football?
One of the ways they try to force it on people is to make it as intrusive as possible; they literally redirect you at every click you make, ensuring that you consume these ads, either involuntarily or voluntarily. It is often a form of Internet infringement, but there are no laws on the internet. I have ad blockers enabled in my browsers.
To be honest, I do not mind watching advertisements. I sometimes literally consume advertisements, but the only ones I can not stand are those for betting and pornography. Apart from my faith as a Christian, porn ads are demonically diabolical. I believe they have recently become aggressive because people are no longer as interested in pornography as they once were.
For example, I doubt you will find football advertisements on a pornographic website; it is always the other way around. Football is already a well-established niche, and pornographic consumption is declining globally. It is, however, still present in some specific areas.
For example, whenever I search X (Twitter) for crypto content, I notice some random people using the crypto tag to post 18+ content. It is really disgusting, and I usually have to say a prayer when I accidentally see some of these contents; they are morbid and disgusting, and this was not how Twitter used to be.
The way the Ad system works on X (Twitter) is somewhat intrusive. They literally put it in the middle of your favorite content and force you to see the contents of people who have paid a lot of money so that their content can be seen by a large number of people.
So, the way some advertising systems work now is to show it to everyone, as long as they have fingers. People who want to see pornographic and betting ads and those who do not see the same amount of ads, which is completely infringing. Some of these ads are actually designed to be visible even if you have Ad blockers installed.
Unfortunately, The Ad System Brings Money
Elon Musk is probably most interested in his ideas about free speech, but to be honest, X is now heavily advertised, and it is a minefield of various crazy things. However, some of the content we want to consume is there.
Some of the internet's most lubricative niches are receiving a lot of advertising, and this is likely to continue. I would like to see some ads on Hive; it will be a great new way to generate external profits. Some of the money can be used to offset the millions of dollars being smoked through the DHF.
The DHF literally bleeds the ecosystem a lot and do not bring as much value. I understand that ads can be extremely intrusive (though not as intrusive as pornographic and betting ads), but the ecosystem can truly benefit from anything that generates revenue.

The reality is that ads on Hive would be very intrusive and also would bring in almost no revenue as we have seen with the InLeo ads system that they were talking about for a long time and it turned out to be a damp squid. What Hive needs is for more customisation on Bloggers Profile pages, better indexing for searching and finding posts and visibility in search engines, currently we are invisible.
We will need a better marketing team that knows a lot about SEO for what you talked about to be better implemented. I think we have more Blockchain techy witnesses more than we social, and well..... It's what it seems.
As for Leofinance, I just feel they didn't really get it right, maybe if it were implemented better it might be different.

I agree, we need advertising. Hopefully not of the porno nature! lol I don't even bother with X anymore to be honest. People just thing that sex sells so they push porno hoping to make some money...
How has your Sunday been?
There are other forms of ads that we can actually use though, I do believe that we should be generating as much as we're pushing out too..
Well, I've been here, it's been cold and windy, how about you?
Warm and sunny...Not too bad today, just a little out of energy but that's nothing new.
It would be nice to see some Hive advertising, I see Solana ads everywhere...
I was reading up on a guy here who talked about having stage 4 kidney disease in one kidney, I had to console him by telling him I also had a mild kidney impairment myself.
So I'm mostly just home and reading up.
I'm glad it's not too bad for you..
Whoever says you are wrong needs to fix something broken in him, football is life, without football, I wonder how the world of sports would be.
Ads are sometimes there in apps for profits and promotions, but can actually be annoying most times that's why some apps would ask one to pay for ads free usage.
Thanks for talking about this concept today.
Enjoy your day, my boss.
Sad thing about porn ads. Hive could truly benefit with some exposure.
I think ad spending has kind of gone down but I think the porn sites are still maintaining a decent income. So they can afford to pay more than some of the other people advertising. It's all about money though and they know that they can get more people to visit their site by doing so.
For me it's YouTube ads that I find really intrusive. Sometimes, 4 to 5 ads in a single half an hour length video and the really frustrating part is you can't skip most of them, you'll have to wait until it's done for you to continue with what you're watching.
Advertising is often intrusive. Ok, maybe sexual ads (which can't discriminate the age of the consumer, usually) are the worse. Betting can be too, because it makes people addictive and losing money. But how about ads for pharma? They want repeat customers so they don't cure diseases, they make you live with them. If you watch some ads on TV in our country, probably 35% are about betting, 35% about pharma, while everything else might be 30% if we are lucky. I made up the numbers, I don't actually have a statistics, but they are the majority, for sure.
I think the percentage you allocated to them are correct. Pharma companies are probably the most diabolical and they just want to enrich themselves. It's probably why we don't have permanent cures but only management solutions...
I find porn ads to be the worst, I mean, it gives not choice but eventual consumption, sometimes you can't unsee what you've seen .
