A "Lira The Dark" To Complete it.
I recently posted about getting my first ever GFL which was Possibilius the Wise and how that left a very good taste in my mouth. Some days ago, I was also opening my pack and also got my first ever GFL from opening the pack which was a level two Lira the Dark. That was getting two GFL in one week, of which it spent 14 months looking for one GFL and never did, but got two in one week. Now this card is about 21$ or so, with another massive 12.5k collection power as well. The main reason why these two GFLs will stay with me is that I need the collection power.
The dollar value might dwindle as a result of the general crypto market, but I'll still have that collection power to finally stay off the crappy leagues. It's been 112 packs opened for me to get any GFL and since I wanted it to be another card and not Lira, I think I want to simply take the win and hope for more luck in the coming few days.
I'm heading towards 70k collection Power, at the moment I have 67k and by the end of the season, I'll have the whole 70k
that would enable me to play in gold 2 modern and silver one wild. Although I'll still drop to mid-bronze one even if I qualify to play in the wild format of Silver one, but the wild format of splinterlands is somewhere I find very easy to compete, it's the modern format that becomes too competitive to play in most of the time.
Also, I'll be needing about 4$ to finally upgrade my earth summoner to level 3 and I'm looking forward to finally reinventing my deck after the end of the season rewards. This means selling off some surplus to requirement cards, using the proceeds to buy cheaper cards with the same collection Power and that will serve some utility on the field of play.
For example, I have a standard Herondale that's about 4.5$ with a collection power of 500, I reckon I'll get another legendary of 2.5$ with the same 500 CP, then I can use the remaining 2$ to either buy a summoner or level up some other cards that need leveling.
I'll repeat the same process for any other card that might be surplus to requirements, or do so to tilt my cards to meet certain strategies which I'm used to winning. The truth is that when you don't have a lot of money, finding the cheapest ways to do things is one of the skills you mostly cultivate.
This is a period where it's hard to find the motivation to invest, accumulate or build and this is because it's the general phenomenon with digital assets. SPS is one of the assets that's taken a big dump over the past few months, if it wasn't, I would have taken some profits off my SPS stake to try and build some of my summoners, but this isn't the case.
I think building one's deck is probably essential at the moment, I have no doubt the splinterlands' economy would come good again, the question would now be when it would. Would it be relatively tied to the bull market or not, this I cannot tell, however, if there's one thing I've come to know, it's better to be prepared for when the market will begin to do well as the only thing you'll do is to mainly take profit.
I understand that the situation is currently precarious at the moment, everyone is threading carefully, but sometimes it's mostly the level of risk that determines the reward.
With splinterlands at the moment, I'm mostly taking my time, flipping assets, taking profits upgrading, reinvesting the little I can, taking some proceeds to buy hive, using the profit to flip some other assets, and buying back hive again. I don't know if I'm making the right decisions, but I want to think that I'm making progress. I'm happy about this.
Two GFL in one week is no mean feat. I think I'm learning to take the wins. I do not have any other resources to buy packs again, I would have loved to, but I'll take the one and only GFL I got from opening all my packs as a very big win.

Thank you, I would have preferred other legendaries to lira but then, I'll take the 12.5k collection Power, I think that's a huge deal breaker. I'm hoping for 100k before the end of next year

Congratulations on the GFL and I think your strategy is good if you need CP. Summoners are always a big bottleneck and I don't see myself using Lira much because my death deck isn't as strong.

Yeah, I don't like lira either, but since a GFL, it's become one of my most prized assets thus far. My strategy is to build my collection power and deck as I go.
