It will launch a compensation portal that supports tokens from over 30 major networks, such as Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and BNB Chain, and claims to have over six million users within 3 days, the number of tokens hit theft will be compensated 100%.

Blockchain security firm PeckShield was the first to draw attention to the attack, asking users to follow a series of steps to ensure they were safe.

According to an announcement on twitter BitKeep announced that:

“Our development team has managed to prevent the emergency and prevent hackers,” adding that they will compensate all users for their losses use. The Swap service has been paused to avoid further security breaches.

At that time, BitKeep contacted the relevant security agencies to find a way to catch the attackers behind the incident.

The attack is the latest in a long list of exploits this month, with October becoming the worst month for attacks in crypto history.

Hacks have increased this year. More than $3 billion has already been stolen from the market, according to blockchain security firm Chainalysis. In October alone, $718 million was stolen from DeFi protocols in 11 hacks. Chainalysis has also pointed out that DeFi was responsible for the growth of hacks.

CertiK has said that a good number of the attackers in 2021 were due to centralization issues. This year, the theme seems to be bridge attacks, with Harmony's Horizon bridge and Nomad bridge suffering heavy losses.
