The Rover Perseverance investigates the boulders of Mars.

The Perseverance Rover is exploring a field of boulders, a place that scientists have been waiting a long time to examine, what is the interest of researchers in these rounded rocks, as they are round-edged stones that formed at one time from the history of mars where there were rivers that flowed through that area.

The boulders we are seeing at the top of the Delta were brought here by water and were deposited as the water slowed down, possibly many of the boulders in the field interacted with water at some point in the history of Mars, making them important targets for evaluating the history of rivers on Mars and their potential habitability in the past.

Another thing that makes these rocks interesting is that some of them possibly originated outside of Jezero crater, just like on earth the rocks could be dragged for many kilometers and this gives geologists a chance to study materials from remote places without having to move the Rover from kilometers of scenes.
