The international space station has an expiration date of 2030, but that will not be the end of space stations, we will have the Chinese space station, perhaps a Russian space station, it is possible that another Indian space station and a new space station international and it is also possible that we will see other commercial and perhaps tourist space stations.

That is why NASA is working closely with commercial companies to develop new space stations and ensure that the United States maintains a continuous human presence in low Earth orbit, because currently space stations are basically research laboratories, although we have already seen some cases of space tourism and even the filming of a Russian movie in space.

These commercial activities will increase, which is why NASA is supporting the design and development of multiple commercial space stations, including the Orbital Reef or Space Reef from Jeff Bezos' company Blue Origin.

Orbital Reef could be the blueprint for future space stations dedicated, in addition to laboratories, to issues such as tourism or the manufacturing of medical substances or the creation of technological materials.

A estação espacial internacional tem data de validade para 2030, mas isso não será o fim das estações espaciais, teremos a estação espacial chinesa, talvez uma estação espacial russa, é possível que outra estação espacial indiana e uma nova estação espacial internacional e também é possível que vejamos outras estações espaciais comerciais e talvez turísticas.

É por isso que a NASA está a trabalhar em estreita colaboração com empresas comerciais para desenvolver novas estações espaciais e garantir que os Estados Unidos mantêm uma presença humana contínua na órbita baixa da Terra, porque actualmente as estações espaciais são basicamente laboratórios de investigação, embora já tenhamos visto alguns casos de turismo espacial. e até mesmo a filmagem de um filme russo no espaço.

Essas atividades comerciais aumentarão, e é por isso que a NASA está apoiando o projeto e o desenvolvimento de múltiplas estações espaciais comerciais, incluindo o Recife Orbital ou o Recife Espacial da empresa Blue Origin, de Jeff Bezos.

O Recife Orbital poderá ser o modelo para futuras estações espaciais dedicadas, além de laboratórios, a questões como o turismo ou a fabricação de substâncias médicas ou a criação de materiais tecnológicos.
