Strange glow in the sky of Mars.

A green glow has been detected in the Martian atmosphere, it is not the first time that this glow has been captured, the discovery was made in 2020 thanks to the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) mission probe that It is led by the European space agency and has been orbiting the red planet for many years.

This curious atmospheric night glow is the product of the chemical reaction thanks to the energy of the sun, the Martian atmosphere is basically composed by CO2, up to 95.3 of carbon dioxide which is made up of two Oxygen atoms and one carbon atom, the energy of the sun breaks down the Carbon dioxide that during the day, the oxygen atoms are there during the day loose , but when night comes the loose oxygen atoms join together forming the oxygen molecule that is O2 and in this process they emit a greenish light.

All of this occurs at about 50 km above the Martian surface and this has already been known since 2020. What is news now is that the European space agency has responded to a somewhat curious question, because All this happens at 50 km high, it can be captured from space, but if an astronaut on the surface of Mars could see the sky with a green glow, or is it something so faint that they could not see it with their own eyes.

It turns out that the study they have done and what is news now is that that glow, that green glow, is intense enough for future astronauts who are walking on the Martian surface to see it at night, at least in the Martian polar regions. .
