Military commander created with AI, is confined to a laboratory in China.

Imagine a non-Human military commander, a highly advanced Artificial Intelligence trained to think and act like a brilliant strategist, this is the virtual commander created by scientists in China where Artificial Intelligence is strictly prohibited from commanding the armed forces, following the principle that The party commands the weapon, which is why it is kept in a high-security laboratory at the Joint Operations College of the National Defense University of Hebei Province.

Only the central military commission of the Chinese Communist Party has the power to mobilize the People's Liberation Army, yet advanced units such as drones and robotic dogs have been given more autonomy, being able to make independent decisions, although final authority remains with humans.

This AI commander developed to replicate the capabilities of human commanders was revealed in May through a peer-reviewed paper based on the skills of both living and deceased strategic planners and is designed to reflect both human strengths and weaknesses.

Confined in a laboratory, the AI commander has already participated in large-scale war simulations for the People's Liberation Army, acquiring vast experience in military strategies and tactics. Researchers led by engineer Mr. Jan Shen Jin highlight that AI technology It already presents both potential and risks in military applications, however, they believe this project offers a viable solution to the growing challenges of modern warfare.

The researchers highlight that the People's Liberation Army has developed various operational plans for possible conflicts in areas such as Taiwan and the South China Sea, AI is used to test these plans in simulations providing valuable information on the complexity of the battles.

The AI commander can replace human commanders in virtual exercises by exercising his authority within the confines of the laboratory, this AI was initially programmed to imitate an experienced strategist possessing a balanced character, mental firmness and the ability to analyze and judge situations with calm, and does not make emotional or impulsive decisions, being able to quickly make practical plans based on previous experiences.

The Chinese team of researchers also highlighted that the personality of the ya can adjust as needed; under pressure humans may have difficulty making rational decisions quickly, but that the ya is designed to integrate empirical knowledge into its decisions rather than relying on Just from pure Analysis, a fascinating aspect is that the AI was programmed to forget by imitating human frailty.

When the AI's memory reaches a certain limit, some units of knowledge are discarded, this allows the AI to identify new threats, develop plans and make decisions based on the general situation of the battles, learning and adjusting with victories and defeats.
