Imagine the scene, Apollo-era astronauts joyfully jumping on the surface of the moon, it happened, and it's hilarious to watch them fall and struggle to get up in those bulky spacesuits, but now that humanity plans to return to the moon in September 2026 , MIT researchers say they are willing to put an end to this comedy in future lunar missions.
Harry Asada, professor of mechanical engineering at MIT, says that astronauts are physically very capable, but they may have difficulties on the moon where gravity is one-sixth that of Earth, but inertia remains the same.
This idea arose 10 years ago when Harry Asada and his team developed SuperLimbs to help in shipbuilding and aeronautics. The researchers began by studying how humans try to stand up when wearing restrictive clothing. They dressed volunteers in bulky clothing and observed how They rose from the ground.
