5 Tips To Write Better Blogs On InLeo
With the upcoming potential of evergreen rewards on InLeo, it's time to think about how we can write and create pieces of content that attract readers for years to come.
Let's be honest...This is much easier said than done!
I came across a little graphic that we created a few years ago, and I thought this would be a great topic for tonight.
Let's look into 5 ways to make our blogs better!
1. Focus On The Title
A little shock and awe can go a long way here. There are some old school methods of creating great titles that pull viewers in, for me it's simple...Make it relevant and don't be boring.
"5 Insider Tips To......." is relevant and creates curiosity.
"My Opinion On Crypto Market..." is as boring as it gets.
2. Use Short, Readable Paragraphs
There...Is...Nothing...Worst...That....A....Paragraph....That...Has...No.....Breaks! A massive block of text will just get ignored. Heck the entire 'TLDR' (too long didn't read) is a direct result of this.
I believe Robin Sharma said it best.."Simplicity is the trademark of genius". Keep things simple and to the point. No need to go on and on and on...
3. Use Images and/or Videos
Videos are a no brainer. Shorter videos are even better lol
And there is a reason I try to stick images in all my blog posts....It captures attention and breaks up the text blocks.
(Mind blowing information....I know!!!!)
4. Write Like You Talk!
I credit this piece of advice to Jeffrey Gitomer. One of my favorite authors of all time used to talk about how he wrote like he talked. It was never meant to be perfect english, structured like you were writing a scientific paper or anything....
You'll notice I use a lot of ........... Periods in my blog posts. I also might not have the best use and command of the english language. Yet, here I am, 25 years after I started writing...Still writing.
Talk like a real person, not a robot...Or....AI lol
5. Answer Every Comment
There is just no excuse for not responding to your audience. I get it, life happens...But on the blockchain, we thrive off the social interaction.
If someone takes time out of their day to come to your blog, and leave a thought or two...My goodness, just respond to them. It's the least we can do and guess what it does in the long run?
It creates loyal readers, long time fans and relationships for the years to come.
Is this an exhaustive list? My goodness no. But these tips have helped me along the journey and I know they will be able to help you!

Great simple tips my friend. Good stuff! They do actually work pretty well. I don't use enough images in my regular posts. I do with charting posts for sure, but not enough with regular blogs or on my other projects. So yeah, I need to use more images for sure. Thanks for putting that in me brain, lol.
It helps. I mean speaking from my own experience, I have the attention span of a goldfish lol So images help me keep on task and finish an article lol

Thank you for the valuable information. The second point is important for me. I also try to write short paragraphs, but I think my sentences are not simple. I need to think simpler. Also, I only add photos to my content, I've never tried to add videos or other images. I think I should start doing that too. #Leo
It helps keep the readers attention. And also keeps them engaged for sure!
Those are some good tips. I should probably do better myself but yea those are definitely some good tips to keep in mind. I also think writing like you normally talk and engaging are the best way to attract people.
It makes people know you are a real person, and not some corporate robot for sure

Write like you talk is a great tip! It makes one's writing more natural and relatable. It also doesn't require one to be a great writer to start doing that.

No one wants to read something that feels like it came from a robot.
Images are very good and one important thing is that we should always make sure that our images goes hand in hand with what we are writing or what was written in that paragraph

Crazy simple to do it in the editors here on Hive, most of the popular ones allow it.
I never tried the inforgraphics images for the content. I am sure that would also make the difference. People love watching such content which has the actionable points in the infographics. So you should check it out that as well.
I literally spent years of my life, looking at infographics lol I miss that about today's media...We have gotten away from them, I always thought they were brilliant.

I feel like I do a pretty good job of hitting all of those points. I've always kind of written like that, so I have to say, I think you have a good list there! The title one is probably the hardest part for me. I come up with some really clever ones sometimes, but they don't always hit the way you might expect.
Yeah I always ask myself, what would stop me in my tracks if I was scanning headlines. And then try to incorporate that into my content.
Hahahaha I do write like I talk, even the laugh; I also use ... a lot but not so much on my blogs, just as a resource when the text is... you know, it needs a longer pause for flow xD.
For that reason, and more if it is in Spanish, I usually don't have issues communicating through text with the same emotions I talk.
It adds such a personal touch I think. Makes the content much more consumable.
