This Korean Place: the "Corndog Café"🌽ðŸŒ
Happy eating fellow #foodies here on the Blockchain! 🤤😋
Today is a special post as I do a food review of this quite popular place nowadays. It is getting its type from social media like Facebook and Instagram. This food place is famous amongst students who recently went back to school from the two-year online classes.
This place is called the Corndog Café. It is located in the busiest street in downtown Cebu City - Colon Street!
Aside from the social media doing a good job with promotions and ads, I first knew about the place because of my friend. She posted some mouthwatering pictures of corndogs and ramyeon and Tteokbokki on her Instagram page.
I commented and asked her where the place was and she mentioned in her reponse a tag of the place. I quickly checked the Page and saw lots of yummy Korean foods down their socmed page.
Fast forward and voilá I and my bestie were able to finally visit this place. We both share a love for Korean foods. We used to go to unlimited samgyupsal places - until we now have developed a sense of "not craving for it anymore", if that makes sense. Hehe. 😅
What do I think of their bestsellers? 🤤
Corndog with half mozzarella cheese and half hotdog, covered in potato bits - I LOVE THAT it is the BEST corndog I have tried thus far. I tried four corndogs from four different stores and trust me when I say that this fifth one I tried stood amongst all. The crispy potato bits on the outside of the treat tasted like French fries (which I likeee!) The hotdog and cheese were fine, too. Overall it was a yummy treat for an affordable price.
Tteokbokki in sweet and spicy sauce with sesame seeds - For me it tasted fine, so-so. As it was not as spicy as I would expect, so that's why it did not sell well for me. But my bestie liked it so much. I found the "pasta" thing not cooked well so that is why overall it is just so-so for me.
Ramyeon in super hot and spicy flavour served with eggs - This was fine. Considering the cheap price it was kind of decent actually. Or maybe because I have always been biased to anything noodles haha.
Iced tea with milk tea was weird. I did not like it. In fact I just took a sip and that was that. The bestie liked it - she had two full glasses of the pitcher. I guess it all boils down to taste, really.

I will score 7 out of 10 for the food - in so far as I have tasted only, okay? Plus they served the food a bit late - we waited for 30 minutes. It was a relief that the crew were friendly and accommodating. When we did a follow up on our orders they apologised, saying they were understaffed and the café was full of people (read: students) that time, as it was peak hours (4:30 pm-ish).
Is it worth visiting? Yep of course - just make sure it's not "peak hours" to avoid the crowd and so your orders would arrive earlier as well. 😉😘
