👰Sarah's✨Wedding💖Day

Sarah, Ayel and I have been friends since high school – though I became closer to them both after University days.

As for Ayel, we bonded again after college as we ended up having the same gig (and by gig I mean work, taht;s right lol). Since 2015 we were quite inseparable. Even when we had different careers after a year, we always saw each other.

For Sarah, we became closer during 2017 when I was looking for a teaching opportunity. See, she's a teacher as well. There were quite a few interviews when we went together and luckily we ended up teaching in the same university on the same year.

But as for Sarah and Ayel, they go way back. They were besties since high school. So I kind of figured that Ayel will be Sarah's maid of honor. I was surprised when I was asked to be the other MOH quite honestly. Of course I said 'yes' without second thoughts. It's an honour to be asked to be one on such a momentuous day don't you think?

One of the reasons I love weddings is this child-version-in-me whose eyes are wide open in magical bliss. There is magic in weddings – one I cannot explain. It is as if you can really feel the love in the air! All people, in the venue, witnessing two people make promises to commit to one another, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer - indeed 'til death do they part.

Even if lots of media would tell me that weddings are nothing but humdrum of the capitalisation we have invented, I still like the idea. Maybe that's why the term "hopeless romantic" is for hahahahaa.

I was teary-eyed when the groom and bride had their vows. To see both of them here - surely they have come a long way! Seven years as a couple and now finally they are united in marital bliss! I'm in cloud none for them! 🧡
