Rainforest roaming 🌿 Cardamom Mountains, Cambodia ⛰️
Recently, I have been really busy travelling. I have not found time to upload here on Hive, but since I still have so many beautiful pictures to share from Cambodia, I wanted to find time to write a post.
As I mentioned in a previous post, we visited @JustinParke, @Sreypov, @srey-yuu and @Sakada in The Cardamom Mountains of Cambodia. Being so close to the rainforest was an amazing experience.
As soon as you enter the forest, you are immersed in nature. Vines hang about everywhere, and everything is green as far as the eye can see. Canopies of trees block out the sun, so it is very cool and dark.
It feels like you can walk forever, which you probably can, but I would not want to - I have a terrible sense of location, and would without a doubt get lost. The path we walked along is up a mountain, we did not do the whole trek this time around, but I would like to now that I am looking back on the pictures.
Although everything seems very still, the rainforest is very much alive. We did not see any animals on our path, but I know they were there because we could hear them. Justin told us that there are sun bears in the area, but the only animal encounter I had was with leeches (I found one between my toes).
I found the rainforest very peaceful. There is a wonderful harmony in among the trees, and walking around there is very relaxing. I have been spending a lot of time filming recently, and I hope to upload a video of the rainforest, so you can hear the hum of the cicadas and birds in the tree tops. Until then, I will be posting more blogs about my travels in Thailand and Nepal.
Lovely photos! This looks like such an amazing area!
Thank you, it is truly beautiful. I definitely recommend visiting if you get the opportunity
