Basically everyone thinks that writing is for those that like words, and perhaps during school, were the ones giving nice speeches and getting all the fame. I used to think the same too until I got to know a new truth.

As you may already know I'm a science guy and love talking about science, learning all about science and technology trends.

I actually chose science and engineering because they felt clear and logical but I remember when I had to write my very first research paper and saw myself struggling.

I had the knowledge but how to write it down was so difficult. I knew that I was lacking seriously when it came to expressing my thoughts on a sheet of paper. I thought I wasn’t cut out for writing at all.

What was the new truth that changed my mind? Well it was a simple realization that writing and science are more alike than I thought.

Both writing and science will involve trial and error. In the engineering lab if my school, I kept testing and adjusting designs and didn't stop until I found the right one. That's how I trained to be this good.

I'm not exactly Shakespeare but this thought has made me feel more comfortable with writing. Writing a scientific research requires the same thing as science does. It requires outline, drafting and afterwards revising everything you've done.

On Hive though, I don't follow that format, I just write just like how I talk.

So if you ask me what is the science of writing, that's exactly what I'll say, trial and error. Maybe expert writers will have better things to say than this.

Just like in science, the key is not to get everything right the first time, but to keep improving day in and day out. As a matter of fact, that's how anyone gets gold at anything.

It's not about talent it's about maasterin a craft. With this I say exactly what Neil Degrass Tyson said "everyone is a scientist". So by inference "everyone is a writer"
