Declined as successful, problems with banks and stressed freedom
Never in my life have I heard this kind of statement "declined as successful" until today, I did a transaction a few days ago, as I was trying to withdraw some cash from a POS and it was declined due to bad network and I did it again and it was successful, but I was debited twice, what happened was that, the one showing declined also has my account debited.
I felt bad about it, like it added a bit of negativity to my daily activities that day, I told the POS agent that I was debited twice, and he told me that since the response he got from their machine was "declined", they were not going to credit it, so I should either wait for the bank to reverse it or go to the bank and make a complaint, that is if it took too long without getting a better response from the bank.
I emailed my bank using the Gmail address they provided me and for about a month now I did not received a reply, but today I was told that the transaction was "declined as successful", I don't know why banks like to use people's heads in any way they can, the recipient said he had not been credited and that his service provider had instructed him not to pay any declined transaction.
At this point it is hard to know where to start and who to believe, when the bank says, they have handed over to the other bank and this POS agent says, such money is not credited to his account, it is like this is starting to look even bigger the way I see it, so I will take it easy and asked the bank to communicate the partner bank, that they feel the transaction was done to, so that the other bank will now act and tell their customer to make a refund, that is if it was even successful, because as at this point, what I should believe is hard to know.

Banks are a power to themselves .... I believe there is a special place in hell for bankers {grin}
They're only benefiting themselves and leave peoples to complaint while they see what needs to be done.
