I have been longing for the things I haven't had since I left Nigeria for South Africa 15 years ago, one of them being coconut Water.

I have been seeing coconut along the beach but haven't gone to buy it, since @oadissin has been spoiling me in Benin, being of help where possible I told him I long for coconut water.

Were we supposed to have it last week when he visited but it rained and we ended up being indoors and opted for something else for lunch.

We were out to get some stuff done, and on our way back we stopped at the beach for coconut water. You should see the smile on my face, it was like a boy who's gone out with his papa to a favorite shop.

I can't recall when last I had coconut water, probably 18-20 years ago. Not only do I want the water I want the coconut meat as well.

So I had two coconut water, Olivier had one but it was nice to offer the coconut meat from one of my coconuts.

It was hot but being on the beach makes the heat less thing to worry about. We had a walk while sipping our coconut water and came back to the guy selling the coconut to open it coconut for us so we can have the meat.

Our time on the beach was brief say 30-40 minutes but was great, we will be doing this again soon when.

I have never seen Olivier's photo on Hive so I asked if he doesn't mind if I share the selfie we had, he said he doesn't mind so guys here is a face to the name @oadissin 😃

Coconut water is healthy, and rich in electrolytes, vitamins, etc. Do check out its benefits here if you wish.

3rd of May 2023, Olivier and I went for coconut thirst-quenching on the beach and it was fun.

I must say, I never had coconut water in my life. The beach looks great. I am glad you are enjoying it.

I think it shows in the images, so exciting to be tasting coconut water again after all this time. I really enjoy eating the meat inside, especially the milky or oily ones. The beach is lovely as always :)

It was exciting having it with Olivier, when it is hot and I long for coconut water, I will surely be heading to the beach.

Lovely and refreshing, not too much though !LOLZ

Not sure how you missed the fresh coconuts here in Durban when visiting most Indian stores sell them fresh, it's knowing how to get into them that is a little more taxing.

You two look like naughty school boys bunking a day off on the beach enjoying fruit on offer... OK that is my take on your grand adventure!

I've been a limo driver for 25 years and haven’t had a single customer.
All that time and nothing to chauffeur it.

Lol, I didn't know where to get the coconut when I was in Durban and even PE, each time I pass a coconut tree in SA I always wish to for the water.

Some are grown here, most I have seen was in Mozambique where they grow more prolifically.

Looks like you had a lot of fun, next time want to see you climb the tree to collect the fruit, then give full demonstration on going about how to get into them !LOLZ

Lol I was okay at climbing a coconut tree when I was young in my teenage days, I never plucked coconut from of there though, we would use a long stick back then in my uncle's yard in Nigeria. Now I wouldn't dare, am a madala now 🤣, I will rather pay for it with Hive money.

Mozambique the guys mainly in their late teens literally ran up the tall thin trees, amazing to watch them pluck the fruit and passing it down to the guy beneath not to crack them open.

!BEER too strenuous 😅

These guys become expert doing these since they have lived and made money through it for years, the likes of me only knows how to climb strictures with a ladder, an attempt to monkey like them will leave me sorry 😃

Tree climbing is for the young, structures with ladders a little older eventually you don't trust yourself to that either, then you know to keep firmly planted on the ground....

Lol yes, I think I can still climb or work at heights for another 8 years, then it becomes a no-no for me to be climbing ladders for work.
