Playful Moment with a Crab at New Brighton Beach! 🦀🌊

After a hectic week away to Picton and back to Christchurch yesterday. I needed a nice long sleep, and I had as I only got out of bed around 9am for breakfast.

While having breakfast, my Filipino flatmate asked if I would join them to go catch Tuatua on the beach, I had previously told them to let me know when next they are going, so I agreed.

Oh boy it was fun! This was the first time I can say I was actually playing on the beach digging Tuatua out of the sand and caught a crab in the process.

Such a cute little, I played with it and let it go 😆

As for the Tuatua, I will share photos later 😊

I just love this little crab 🦀 and they way it vanished into the sand is amazing 👌🏾

Above is a Tuatua, it is the Maori name, a bit mussels and very delicious when my Philippinos make it.

It is quite a job and you will have to use the other rooms to allow the painting to dry. My weekend was good thanks. And my week got off to a good start.

It is… we can’t walk on it now.
I just finished the first layer. It took me all day… The floor is 22m2 so it was big. I am tired now and my back hurts… will have to take it easy for a few days.

Luckily we have one room to spare to put everything in and move around like that.

I am… thanks Joe. Today was a resting day.
Did some self portraits in a forest was tricky to get the camera all set up and the fimer right for me to get in front of it again hahaha. Have to show the worldmappin hoodie that I won with their winter challenge. Will post about it tomorrow with my walk.

Very playful, as an adult I don't recall being so playful in the sand on the beach ⛱️ 😀
