Lake Ruataniwha, a man-made lake
I have always driven past the Lake Ruataniwha viewpoint and wondered what's there to see as I see cars stop by.
I eventually stopped there on my way to Wanaka last week. It is interesting to know it is a man-made lake that's hosts rowing tournaments and power power with lots of visitors around the world.
I did a bad job at photographing the information board, which I thought was readable, but now realized I could have done better.
I am interested in the events that Lake Ruataniwha hosts, I might have to stop another time to look in detail.
