Cornealus Had It Rough
To honor Cornealus, we have this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge Thumbnail design from Splinterlands featuring Cornealus. I feel it is a great way to acknowledge the strange beast and give it the honor it deserves.
In this battle, though Cornealus had it rough, in a Super Sneak ruleset that witness the deadliest of monsters threw everything they've got at Cornealus, not even being resurrected by Hellondale kept Cornealus in the fight for long. One thing though, every attack on Cornealus was followed by thorns damage from the large flowing eyeball.

DIEMONSHARK led my frontline and it did a great job against Grum in the early rounds of the fight, though I had to use a level 3 Diemonshark due to my level 3 summoner, the ruleset was favoring Diemonshark as it includes Enrage ability. The Trample ability of Diemonshark with its high speed with rich Armor makes it a very fast-reflective beast to be wary of.
In the second spot in my lineup is ARKEMIS THE BEAR with Armor and Protection abilities, those are two very useful abilities in this battle as it added more Armor protection to that which Frendul provided and the Halving reduced the enemy enraged monster.
Aside from the abilities Alkemis The Bear is quite rich in health, which is beneficial for a battle of this magnitude for longer survival on the battlefield.
KULU MASTERMIND is not to be messed with, it is equipped with Weapons Training and Opportunity abilities, it occupies the third spot in my lineup putting in attacking in the enemy backline due to the Super Sneak ruleset.
In a Lost Magic ruleset, a level 2 Kulu Mastermind can be deadly with the Shield ability. I look forward to leveling it us as I am just a copy short of achieving that.
For my Water Splinter battles RIVER HELLONDALE is almost a must use for the two abilities, Resurrect and Inspire. It is often an added strength to my lineup and a focal point of my strategies, those two abilities are so vital we can see it in actions as it gave Cornealus a second chance on the battlefield.
MUSA SALINE is a low mana Legendary card, yet it has been finding its way into my lineups due to the Shatter and Scavenger abilities it has, getting rid of Grum's Void Armor was Saline's first impact in the fight which gave quite a good opening for Cornealus and Diemanshark to attack, the outcome being Grum was eliminated as quickly as possible.
It was a very rough fright for CORNEALUS in the backline, as enraged monsters go at it. A demoralize, repaired, or triage ability monster might have probably kept Cornealus in the fight till the end but is it highly unlikely considering the forces against the strange magical eyeball, Cornealus.
With the Heal and Thorns ability, it surely did put in a good fight before its eventual elimination and always, we don't talk about Cornealus without looking at the Lore.
Not even the Lore can tell us where Cornealus came from...

All good @joetunex! You're a real Hive pro! Onward to that new goal!
If you didn't have that Cornelius as a tank, you might probably lose the Battle. It was also good to see that you had the ressurect ability to bring it back. It played a role in your win.
Yes, Cornealus did not survive the fight but it left some damage which the friendly monsters capitalized on for the victory.

Such a prized asset it you ask me. If you had enough resources, you'll kick asses hahaha
Lol, am sure my win rate will be a lot better if I have a stronger deck compared to what I have now, I think we the smaller deck players also grind strategic ways to win compared to the rich decks that rely on the summoner and mosnter abilities to win battles.

Thank you 🙂
Nice win. I don't have a level 2 cornealus but that thorns plus heal is great.
I think it is worth leveling up, the Regular Foil is cheaper compared to the GF. Thanks 🙂
