well, the ingredients for making castela unicorn cakes certainly don't require a lot of money and time, you can buy all the ingredients for this recipe at the nearest supermarket or market in your city. The first ingredients you have to prepare are 4 egg yolks, 4 egg whites, liquid milk, sugar, salt, wheat flour, cooking oil, lime and food coloring with colors according to your wishes. after you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's start the first step of making castella unicorn cake.
The first step, what you have to do first is prepare a place and put 50 ml of cooking oil and 60 grams of low protein flour. Then, stir until well blended using a whisk only.
the second step, after you have stirred until it is well mixed, then add 70ml of liquid milk and then stir again using a whisk until the liquid milk is evenly mixed with the dough like the photo above.
the third step, after the liquid milk has been stirred until it is well mixed with the dough, the next thing you have to do is add 4 egg yolks gradually while you stir and 1 sachet of vanilla powder so that the dough doesn't smell too bad. Repeat until all the egg yolks have been added to the mixture and set aside.
the fourth step, after all the egg yolks have been put into the dough and have been stirred, the next thing you have to do is prepare a place and put 4 egg whites, 1 tablespoon of lime juice and half a teaspoon of salt. Then, mix until the mixture is slightly frothy and well blended on medium speed.
the fifth step, after you have mixed the egg whites until they are slightly fluffy and well mixed, then add gradually 70 grams of sugar into the dough and then mix the dough until it is white, thick and traced.
the sixth step, after all the sugar has been put into the dough and has also been mixed until it is white, thick and traced, then what you have to do is gradually put the egg white mixture into the egg yolk mixture like the photo above. Then, stir gently and being careful not to melt the egg white mixture.
the seventh step, after the egg white dough has been put into the egg yolk mixture, then divide the dough into 3 different places like the photo above. then, give the coloring according to your wishes in the three separated doughs. after that, mix the three doughs slowly and carefully until all the dough changes color.
the eighth step, after all the dough is finished, then prepare a baking sheet and spread margarine evenly into the pan and then coat the parchment paper into the pan. after that, put the dough randomly according to your wishes until all the dough is finished.
the last step, after all the dough has been put into the tin, then prepare the oven and put the oven tin that has been filled with water, we will bake this dough with the Au Bein Marie technique, then preheat the oven for about 10 minutes. after the oven is hot and the water is already boiling, then put the dough pan on boiling water and bake the dough at a temperature of 145 or 150 degrees Celsius, with fire up and down for about 60 or 70 minutes depending on the oven you use.
and finally, after doing the Au Bein Marie baking technique for 70 minutes, now you can cut the unicorn castella cake and serve it to your family or friends at home. The texture of the cake is really very soft and when cut the inside of the cake is really very beautiful and eye-catching. This cake can be your snack today. What do you think ?
