Ladies of hive community contest #85

I want to appreciate @ifarmgirl for this week's questions.
Also a big thank you to @nkemakonam89 for inviting me to join this week's contest.

I will be answering to question number one :

1️⃣ How do you handle corrections or criticisms from other people?

A quote by Nikki Giovanni says “Mistakes are a fact of life. It is the response to error that counts.”
In life nobody is perfect and is prone to making mistakes, we grow by corrections.
When one sees something you're doing wrong and try to tell you the right way, it is blessed to accept and do it right.
According to what Nikki Giovanni said is the response to error that counts, when I am corrected calmly.
I tend to find the right way to do it, but when the correction is in mockery form.
Believe me it will lead to another direction, and I will start finding meaning to every single word said.
To me criticism is when someone is real with you not minding how you may feel about the many faults.
Sometimes criticism burst out after a long toleration of someone's doing.

I don't like criticism at all because it is done without minding the person emotions, and it comes in full loads(huge amount), that may look little.
But I don't have control over it, because it will surely occur.
We all know that when someone suddenly points out a bad character of yours, you don't know that is bad.
You will surely feel bad about it, Criticism go to the core not minding the situation.
This I have experienced not once, the first time I experienced it was from my best friend.
I didn't know she was putting up with it the whole time, I never knew it was very bad until one day when something happened and she said it.
It came like a bomb to me, I was really hurt I thought I was being careful with it not knowing I was wrong all along.
Why didn't she tell me a long time?
I mean she is my friend.
I was very quiet when she said it, I had to calculate a lot in my mind.

My mind was running fast I wanted to say a lot back to her, I was surprised that something in me made me to be so quiet and calm.
After calculating a lot, I apologized to her forced myself to smile then told her to always tell me when I am out of lane on time instead of her to criticize me.
After that time I stored it in my mind that such things will surely occur again because I am only human, so I encouraged myself to always accept it after analysis(by calmly asking further questions).
Even if it came from someone else who is not close to me, it will shake me.
But I must try and calm myself not allowing my emotions to ruin everything by attacking back.
Accepting it after analysis will help me to work on myself more.

Thanks for reading.

I will love to invite these wonderful ladies @orah14 and @zyzymena to join the ladies of hive community contest #85.

Oh yes, criticism hurts but then if it's constructive criticism, the outcome is always positive. Glad you maintained calmness when you got criticized 🤩, I can relate to this.
Thanks for honoring my invitation .✌💪

This seems like a fun question to answer. Criticism comes in different ways. Some are positive intended to correct and some are negative, intended to mock. I do not allow such negative criticisms but I'm always open to positive criticism. I feel like criticism is like a mirror that helps you see yourself better from the eyes of people. It helps you know your mistakes and even sometimes goes as far as helping you figure out how to work on it. Nice post you've written here and thanks for the invite .

Criticism coming from people who aren't close to you or have no real idea about you, is the hardest to endure and can actually leave a bit of a scar for life. I understand what you are talking about as I've been on the receiving end of it now and again. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day!

I can say you have a great friend. She must have been holding it until she couldn't any longer and brought out the "bomb." Just glad you took it gracefully :) Corrections and criticisms always hurt but sometimes, they serve us very well when we take time to reflect upon them. Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts :) Cheers to a lovely day

Yeah, she really held it back for so long.
But I was glad she did say it after all, though it came as a shock to me.
Thank you very much, have a blessed day too !ALIVE

Well, I am sorry, you had to receive the bomb of criticism in that manner. Most times, you might need to check yourself so that it wouldn't drop like a bombshell like this anymore and getting you hurt.
