September is gone and along with it, the rains begin to leave... Then the streets are changing subtly and people begin to reflect daily a slight imposition forward. Because with the first dry days everyone's psyche begins to deceive itself. After all, it is always better a glimpse of sunlight than a long-lasting, gray downpour...

Se marchó Septiembre y junto con el comienzan a marcharse las lluvias... Entonces las calles van cambiando sutilmente y la gente comienza a reflejar cotidiano un ligero impuso hacia adelante. Porque con los primeros días secos comienza la psiquis de todos a engañarse. Después de todo, siempre es mejor un atisbo de luz del sol a un aguacero duradero y gris...

In these first two photos shared today, you can see the same pair of men walking to work on a cloudy morning last September. It's funny, but both photos are taken within seconds of each other. However, and this is something I consider magical about street photography, the simple act of changing the angle completely alters the message of the image. Those are the things that apparently only "the crazy guy with the camera in his hand" usually notices. Meanwhile, the others "exist" in the streets at their own pace, without realizing that with each step they take, they are writing a different image...

En estas dos primeras fotos compartidas hoy, pueden observar al mismo par de hombre yendo a sus trabajos durante una mañana nublada del septiembre pasado. Es curioso, pero ambas fotos están tomadas con apenas unos cuantos segundos de diferencias. Sin embargo, y eso es algo lo cual considero mágico de la fotografía callejera, el simple hecho de cambiar de ángulo altera por completo el mensaje de la imagen. Esas son las cosas de las cuales al parecer, solo "el loco con la cámara en la mano" suele notar. Mientras tanto, los demás van "existiendo" en las calles a su propio ritmo, sin percatarse de que con cada paso dado, van escribiendo una imagen distinta...

It's funny, but the September fogs were the same as always, just as dense and just as recurrent... But many of the inhabitants of the village agree in affirming that now they are "warm fogs". For, in spite of having cloudy dawns, the temperatures were very high... Then they began to hear in the corners of the town phrases like: "Now the fogs look like vapors" or "You don't have to wrap up warm when there are fogs"... This, although it may seem trivial, is something important for many people here, because the name of the town "Montalbán" means "White Mountains" and one of the things that the inhabitants are proud of are those fogs and the cool weather in the mornings... But now this seems to have changed.

Es curioso, pero las nieblas de Septiembre fueron las mismas de siempre, igual de densas e igual de recurrentes... Pero muchos de los habitantes del pueblo coinciden en afirmar que ahora son "nieblas tibias". Pues, a pesar de tener amaneceres nublados, las temperaturas fueron muy altas... Entonces se comenzaron a escuchar en las esquinas del pueblo frases como: "Ahora las nieblas parecen vapores" o "Ya no hay que abrigarse cuando hay nieblas"... Esto, aunque pueda parecer trivial, es algo importante para muchos aquí, pues el nombre del pueblo "Montalbán" quiere decir "Montes Blancos" y una de las cosas de las que se enorgullecen los habitantes son esas nieblas y el clima fresco de las mañanas... Pero ahora esto parecer haber cambiado.

Whether cool fogs or warm mists, September left me with plenty of photographs of the village streets adorned by the whitish gores of the distressed morning visitor. Which with feigned parsimony is penetrating the thresholds of the doors and irrigating with its laziness the erratic souls tempted to the necessary work... Then they are streets dawned with poems, then they are streets pregnant with uncertain, imaginary, blessed lines... And there goes, impenitent, the "Madman of the camera in his hand" doing his business while the others move in their usual normality...

Sean nieblas frescas o nieblas tibias, Septiembre me dejó un montón de fotografías de las calles del pueblo adornadas por los gajos blanquecinos de la angustiada visitante mañanera. La cual con parsimonia fingida va penetrando los umbrales de las puertas e irrigando con su pereza las erráticas almas tentadas al trabajo necesario... Entonces son calles amanecidas de poemas, entonces son calles preñadas de lineas inciertas, imaginarias, bendecidas... Y por allí va,impenitente, el "Loco de la cámara en la mano" haciendo de las suyas mientras los otros se desplazan en su normalidad acostumbrada...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
