Hello dear friends at #HIVE!.... Doing street photography in these small towns is a back and forth between the "broad and the intimate".... This is what I have realized by looking at the photos I have selected today...

I am obviously referring (and I am not inventing anything new) to the fact of capturing a street in an impersonal way, simply translating what happens there and on the other hand, to catch in a photo one or several persons in a clearer and more precise action...

These are then my "Stolen Stories" of today... Some impersonal and others intimate... This is also my entry to today's #monomad challenge...

_JLP1041.jpg

"Children at play"... This type of images perhaps "dance" on the border between the impersonal and the intimate... The children are a story in themselves, the street is the ideal setting even if it has its own character alien to the children playing immersed in his fantasies...

_JLP0718.jpg

"Sad street"... It may be a rather dramatic title, but it's the first thing that comes to my mind as soon as I take a look at this street in the early hours... There is an "essence of sadness" perceptible among the mists and backlights generating unknown silhouettes, surrounded by houses that seem to wobble...

"Calle triste"...

_JLP0722.jpg

"Jesus, coming to the town"... Jesus is a friend I have known since childhood... He is almost a predictable sight on the roads and streets of the village during the early hours, but his willingness to be photographed is a constant... He lives in the countryside, works in the village... daily he travels several kilometres.

_JLP0745.jpg

"Conversation"... A young couple converse almost in a whisper... They are in a small square on the south side of the village... There is careless chaos around them, but they don't seem to notice it... In the meantime: "The crazy man with the camera steals a photo without them noticing"...

_JLP0868.jpg

"Ricaurte Avenue, nothing new"... One of my favourite streets to take pictures... This image expresses very well what usually happens in that street... Or rather "what usually doesn't happen"...

"Av. Ricaurte, nada nuevo"...

_JLP0881.jpg

"I confess"... I confess I've took this photo because I love the aerial cables in anarchy!... This is a frankly "impersonal" photo... Here perhaps the story is "mine"... My goodness... I'm raving!... :))

"Yo confieso"... Cielos... ¡Estoy desvariando!... :))

_JLP0936.jpg

"Man waiting for his son"... This man has a son who suffered some kind of cerebral palsy during his childhood, however the boy survived and today he is over 40 years old, even the municipality has assigned him a small job in the ornamentation of the streets near his house... This man often brings breakfast while he works... In this photo he is waiting for his son to eat with him sitting on the pavement... A tender story of a father's deep love... I am trying to make a photo of both of them to share it in the future.

_JLP0959.jpg

"What is this?"... I had to show this picture to several people until I could find out what this huge tube structure is for... Someone told me that it is a "T" pipe for irrigation and that it may be 5 meters long... This photo was only taken to satisfy my curiosity...

_JLP0973.jpg

"This old man always"... This old man lives a couple of streets away from my house, it's funny, but I always see him sitting in his street, so photographing him walking is a bit strange... He was a friend of my father's and always asked me about him when Dad got sick.... And sometimes he still does, even though I have made it clear to him several times that Dad passed away three years ago... Sometimes the mind plays strange tricks on us, I guess.

_JLP1049.jpg

"Bare feet"... This photo perhaps doesn't need captions... It just seems to be the same old problem, with no apparent solution... Children without even a pair of shoes, wandering the streets and fields, with nothing apparent to do...

"Pies descalzos"...

Thank you very much to all for stopping by and appreciating... We'll see you soon again with more stories and more pictures in between... Greetings and hugs to all...

Saludos!

Such a wonderful captures @jlinaresp 👋🏻😊 I really like the first photo, the playing kids. The fun they have. Beautiful.
Also the mist in the background of some of the photographs, it makes it a bit more moody. But I like moody. It adds a certain feeling.
It also adds another dimension, like it was taken in long forgotten times.
Thank you so much for sharing them. I enjoyed them all.
Have a wonderful new week my friend. 👋🏻😊 hugs 🤗
