My routine living now includes content creation on HIVE.
I reside in the beautiful city of Ilorin, where you can literally be in any part of the town within an hour due to the infrequent traffic experienced. Ilorin is the capital city of Kwara State, here in the north-central part of Nigeria.
One of the important steps I took was to ensure my rented apartment is in close proximity to my workplace, and as such, it is quite easy for me to get to work mostly on time. I cannot rule out some frivolous excuses for why I get to work late occasionally.
I usually sleep late, and even at midnight, I wake up for some unexplainable reasons, which may include the need to use the convenience. My phone alarm is usually set for 7 a.m. so as to compensate for the common short hours of sleep I have; however, I do wake up earlier when the need arises. After a short prayer, I do breakfast if available, and a good number of times, I tune the television to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) to listen to Breakfast News while I prepare to go to work. I would not deny that there are days I would just lie on the bed with every laziness to stand up and prepare for work. It is still fascinating that sometimes, I get to work late, and I may not be able to point out exactly why I left the house late.
Perhaps if my job paid more, I would love it more, but I am content with it in comparison to my other colleagues. Work could be in the office mostly throughout the day or occasionally on the field. Some of the field work could require me to travel out of Ilorin Town to other local governments in the state. I deal directly with hospitals through their health insurance desk officers or with patients when there is a need for intervention as a result of complaints.
There are days when the work can be exhaustive, and I would wish for some days off while others could come with work redundancy. Most times, I eagerly look forward to the 5 p.m. closing hour, when I can retire to my apartment or visit my parents at the family house to do one or two chores. Recently, I have incorporated content creation into my routine activities, as I have greatly improved in the number and quality of contents since I joined Hive some months ago 😊😁😊
In the evenings, when I am free and not consulting private patients in the clinic, I enjoy the moment by watching movies with any available food or drink. Usually, I search out what to eat, and if I suspect the soldiers in my stomach will go to war over hunger, I force myself to enter the kitchen, which I do not fancy doing. Despite this, I hate buying food from restaurants or fast food chains. When there are few friends to visit or call, the evening is the perfect time for such things. Watching movies as a sedative is an act I am yet to get over, despite the struggle of my eyelids to close for the day.
My routine is not as bad and boring as such, but I still enjoy the moment of living daily as a gift of life.
Thank you for reading. I would love to have your comments and contributions 🤗
I enjoyed reading! Your routine is definitely something else and so simple to follow. I don't mean it is easy but to the readers, we can simply imagine it in our heads.
Thank you so so much.
