Travel to Rangpur Zoo: An Unforgettable Experience

Rangpur Zoo is the second-largest zoo in Bangladesh. Rangpur Zoo is one of the traditional tourist places of North Bengal. Rangpur Zoo is located next to Police Lines Road in Rangpur District. This traditional zoo is located very close to Rangpur Police Lines School and College. The zoo is also known as an amusement park. There is a children's park adjacent to the zoo. Rangpur Zoo is spread over a huge area (21.51 acres). Apart from various species of animals, the zoo also has a small lake and many species of trees.

Rangpur Zoo was established in 1989 but opened to visitors in 1991. It is the largest zoo in North Bengal. The zoo is the center of entertainment for the people of the Rangpur division.

I have visited Rangpur Zoo several times. I visited this zoo a few months ago. It was a family tour, so enjoyed it a lot with my family. We traveled to Rangpur by bus. After arriving in Rangpur we took an auto and visited a palace. Then we went to the Rangpur Zoo by an auto rickshaw. To enter the zoo you have to purchase a ticket worth 10 BDT(0.092 USD) per person.

Notable animals here include tiger, bear, lion, monkey, python, crocodile, rabbit, hippopotamus, vulture, emu, ostrich, deer, peacock, etc. The biggest attractions of the zoo are the tigers and lions. Tigers and lions are the focus of attraction for visitors of all ages, young or old people gather around the cage of these animals. So everyone is surprised to see these two big animals in the zoo.

There is a huge space in the Rangpur Zoo and requires a lot of time to see all the animals. If you get tired of walking, there are some lovely places in the zoo to rest.

One of the attractions of the zoo is the children's park. There is a beautiful children's park within the zoo area, which has several interesting rides for children. This park is ideal for entertaining children.

I like the environment of the zoo. Earlier I had noticed some food stalls in the zoo, but this time there was no food stall in sight. Many people used to buy food from the shops and throw it to the animals, that's why the food shops have been removed.

However, fewer animals have been observed in the zoo this time. Most of the animals here are old and the number of animals is decreasing day by day. As a result, visitors often lose interest in the visiting zoo. Animal breeding should be done in the zoo and the tradition of the zoo should be maintained.
