Travel To Nagarpur Palace- Part 2

Nagarpur Palace is one of the most beautiful palace houses I have ever seen. I shared a post about this palace house a day back where I shared with you the current condition of the main buildings of the palace house. You can read the first part from here link.

Today I am going to share with you some pictures of a pond and abandoned buildings near the palace house.

It is the ruined building-9 located on the west side of the quiet building. The building is a little scary. I think this building would be perfect as a location for a horror movie or drama. The buildings are so old that many bushes have grown around them. According to me, such archeological sites should be well maintained and cleaned and should create a suitable environment for visitors to observe. Especially the very dilapidated buildings should be renovated if necessary. And the good buildings stood, the weeds around them should be cleaned properly.

Access to certain buildings is reserved. There is no access to these buildings. From a distance, the windows look as if the buildings have long since accepted defeat. But this is where the zamindar and his family once lived. At that time, people would have been surprised to see the brilliance of the buildings. But now these buildings have lost their charm and are mere witnesses of history, waiting to be destroyed with the companionship of lifelessness.

Seeing such a dilapidated environment of Zamindar'sar's house is a bit magical. I noticed a big pond around every Zamindar house that I saw. Zamindars may have liked to bathe in the pond or spend time sitting on the banks of the pond or farm fish in the pond. There is a large pond next to the Nagarpur Zamindar house. The pond is quite beautiful. There are several seating areas by the pond. There is a Krishnachura tree along the biggest bank. The feeling of sitting by such a pond in the afternoon will be wonderful.

I want to go back to Nagarpur Chowdhurybari again. Because I heard that there are several other buildings behind. Nagarpur would have been the most visited place in Bangladesh if the plan to prepare this place on the lines of Calcutta had been implemented. But it may not have been possible after the partition of the country. There is a lot of history surrounding this zamindari area built on an area of 54 acres. There were buildings such as an arena, zoo, stables, etc. Landlords practice many things here as part of entertainment or business.

If you could explore the area behind the landlord's house, I could take some more amazing pictures for you. If there is an opportunity to visit this Zamindar house later, I will try to visit the whole Zamindar house.

Lovely pictures, the water body is a charm (if maintained well).
