A visit to the Liberation War Museum
Liberation War Museum is a museum that was built based on the collection and preservation of the Bangladesh Liberation War. It was such a unique concept and this kind of museum is rare in our country. So I was a bit excited to visit the museum. This museum of Bangladesh is located in Agargaon, Dhaka. This is the first museum based on the Liberation War and it was established on April 22, 1996,. In 2011, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation stone of the current museum's nine-story building and the museum's journey officially began in 2017. The new building of museum is built on about two bighas of land.
The Liberation War Museum has been built to preserve the history and structures related to the Liberation War of Bangladesh. The museum is open for public visits so that everyone can know the history of the liberation war of Bangladesh properly and dedicate themselves fully to patriotism by being inspired by the heroism and patriotism of the freedom fighters.
Although I was fortunate enough to visit the Liberation War Museum during my last trip to Dhaka, I was too tired to visit all the floors of the museum. I just visited one of the floors of the museum. There were warplanes and portraits of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibar.
The interior of the museum is very attractive. The circular part in the center of the structure was interesting. A fighter plane is arranged on top of the first floor. The actual experience of seeing the warplanes was unprecedented. The moment of visiting the warplanes will be memorable.
The Indian Air Force presented this warplane as a memorial to the Liberation War Museum in 1998. The entrance to the first floor of the museum is completely free. However, the ticket price for entering the upper floors will cost you 20BDT (0.19 USD) per person. The Liberation War Museum is the ideal place to know the history and traditions of the Liberation War. So we can pay a visit to the liberation war museum.
