Scavo Firebolt Weekly Battle Challenge!

Here's the ruleset

I generally think of the Forgotten One as pretty much an auto win for the Noxious Fumes ruleset. Thanks to Immunity. The next best thing is a Living Lava that's been wiped with the Cleanse ability on Scavo Chemist. So why not use both?

Lineup:

Summoner: Tarsa

I generally think of the +1 melee as Tarsa's most important ability, but the +1 health is probably more important for the Noxious Fumes ruleset. It gives half of your monsters 1 extra turn.

Tank: Living Lava

This is basically the automatic tank for all things fire splinter which makes magic attackers extra important.

1st position: Forgotten One

The Forgotten One gets forgotten in the first or second position where it can't even attack, but also doesn't get attacked very often. While all the other monsters fight and die between each other and Noxious Fumes the Forgotten One says "this is fine". That made me think of a meme that I'll post after this.

2nd position: Scorch Fiend

I expect this to die by Noxious Fumes but if my opponent has a monster with opportunity this may spare the Scavo Chemist.

3rd position: Scavo Chemist

It's the next best thing if you don't have a forgotten one, also if you do have one.

4th position: Scavo Firebolt

I had 4 mana and this is solid filler. It wasn't a major contributor in this battle, but I was glad to have it.

Did my strategy work?

Yes. Like I said the Forgotten One is almost an auto win in Noxious Fumes rulesets. The Living Lava and Scavo Chemist are the next best option and I have enough mana in this battle for both. Tusk the Wide also pairs well with Scavo Chemist.

Do I like Scavo Firebolt?

Yes, a solid choice but without specific synergies for me in this battle.

What will I try differently next time?

If I replace Living Lava with Tusk the Wide then I can replace Scavo Firebolt with Tenyii Striker which would be a minor upgrade overall.
