Where I found it

My parents introduced me to Brandon Mull's first series Fablehaven. Fablehaven was comprised of 5 books following siblings Kendra and Seth on their adventures involving a preserve for magical creatures where their grandparents are caretakers. This book is from the second 5 book series with the 2 siblings.

Plot

Kendra and Seth are invited to an event by Celebrant the Dragon King. They suspect a trap, but feel obliged to attend. Several things happen at the party, the biggest of those is Celebrant declaring war on them.

Favorite lines

"Enough to feed an army for a year or 2 satyrs for a month"

Favorite parts

Pretty much everything with The Somber Knight.

Rating 5/5 stars

This book is even better than the first Dragonwatch book. There are an incredible number of adventures beautifully tied together. As with many Brandon Mull books they end up on a quest for a magical item that has more potential to help their enemies than it does to help them, but it's all tied together and the context is strong.
I couldn't wait to start the 3rd book after finishing this.

I am hoping to share plenty of book reviews. What sort of information do you like to see included in book reviews? I’m hoping to keep them fairly short and sweet. What do you think of my format for this post?

I love reading, but don't completely love writing. That being said I would like to improve my writing. If you have any recommendations for ways to improve my posts, please share them. I hope this post has been helpful and informative. Thanks for reading and thanks for all the upvotes, reblogs, comments and follows.

Lastly, I'm hoping that this book club will be interactive. I would love to hear your comments and considerations if you happen upon a review for something that you've read yourself. I'll try to do the same for you when I stumble onto a book review for something that I've already read.
