Hong Kong Orchid Tree

The great thing about Sarasota, Florida, it's that there are many beaches to visit and nice surrounding areas as well.

My fiancé Tiffany and I have our sights set on Englewood (more on the Sarasota County side) because we like the beach there a lot and it's close to many pleasant places to visit.

One place that we visited last August was Venice and that was our first time in that area. Venice is a city in Sarasota County as well and the picture I uploaded for this post, is of a Hong Kong Orchid Tree located in the Historic Downtown area of Venice.

Another name for the Hong Kong Orchid Tree is the https://www.gardenia.net/plant/bauhinia-blakeana and I also uploaded the plaque that was next to it and the link to a website that details it much more expansively.

I actually found it to be one of the highlights of our visit there.

It's right in the middle of many shops and places to eat. It was a very leisurely and quaint area that reminded us of Saint Armand but not as busy. At least it felt that way.

I think the pictures came out pretty good as I used my trusty iPhone10 XR. I prefer to have much more attractive backdrops, but it was difficult to do that with what we were working with and the location of the small park-ish being smack in the middle of everything including the traffic.
