Community and Sweat Equity

If you know anything about me, there was a fanaticsm before my passion for HIVE came along. I embarked on a health and fitness journey over ten years ago and out of those ten years, NINE have been as a member of ORANGETHEORY FITNESS and if you cut me there is no doubt I would bleed orange.

I give a lot of credit to their workouts, because I personally don't like gyms and never really had a long-term motivation to workout until I made the firm decision that I had to do better regarding my mental and physical health. I also felt at the time that I lost my sense of self as I continued to gain weight and abuse my body with vices and very bad eating habits.

But the photo I uploaded for this post is not about my health and fitness journey, but more about one of the core reasons Orangetheory is so special for my wife Tiffany and I. First, it's a huge part of our relationship and as a whole, the OTF community is hardcore and amazing. It's also WORLDWIDE.

Today, we went to workout at our home studio OTF NONA NORTH and although we prefer to leave the local area for our weekend workouts, a fellow member and one of our favorite people Pete asked us to join the class because he was celebrating his 1000th Orangetheory session. Tiffa and I understand that passion, because I'm over 3000 and she's way past 2000 as I'm a year ahead of her and I introduced her to OTF.

Community is a huge part of OTF and their social media presence is pretty wide and we've met incredible people. I mean, we have worked out in Chicago, DC, Texas and a ton of places here Florida from Jacksonville to Sarasota.

It was an honor that Pete asked Team Jiffy to be part of his special day.

He was nice enough to Tweet about it as well:
