The Famous Running Man of Osaka, Japan | Dotonbori at Night! ๐Ÿฎ

(Edited)

Hello, hello! ๐Ÿ“ธ

It was a packed weekend when I decided to visit Dotonbori for the first time. Based on my research, it is best to visit the place at night. โ˜บ๏ธ

I thought it was an opportunity for me to get some nice shots.

I can see the moon already ready to shine for the night but the sky is not completely dark yet.
It was then the surge of people targeted to grow.

Dotonbori is known for its bright and live energy so it was one of the tourist spots in Osaka. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I was half-regretting why I did not book a hotel closer because it is the entertainment and shopping district. ๐Ÿฅฒ

I wanted to take home Japanese items and snacks, and not one day was enough to see them all in Dotonbori.

A fruit stand that sells shakes too. ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ‡

Freshly squeezed orange or watermelon is perfect for the weather.

Since it was located in a prime tourist spot, it was quite expensive versus getting them in the supermarket or convenience store.

They love grilling over here. ๐Ÿ˜

So no wonder Dotonbori has a lot of food advertisements.

After all, Japan got the best of the best quality of beef!

I tried Japanese Wagyu bought in the supermarket and it was so tender! Melts like butter in your mouth! ๐Ÿ˜‹

I love the gradient purple and orange sky in this shot. That arch over there is Donki (My favorite shop, haha) ๐Ÿ˜†

The best part is that it is tax-free for foreigners.

Beautiful light lanterns by the river. ๐Ÿ’—

Now, the canal has its iconic charm added to Dotonboriโ€™s lively atmosphere.

dotonbori10.jpg

I am not too sure if this was a man-made canal in the 17th century for trading.

The iconic Glico Man! โœจ๐Ÿ˜

I asked my friend what was special about the Glico Man. Why do people take pictures of it? ๐Ÿ˜

So Glico the company is famous for their sweet snack Pocky. I love the Hazelnut crush, by the way. ๐Ÿ˜

The advertisement was first put up in 1935 and up until this day, it has been there ever since.

This iconic running man has become the unofficial mascot of Osaka. Cool story tho. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅณ

As I got closer, I took selfies and portraits of myself as many as I could because who knows when I will see him again. ๐Ÿ˜

People were respectful of the space and took turns. I got nice photos out of 50 shots, haha! ๐Ÿ˜†

dotonbori12.jpg

This was in the weekend and it was no surprise to me to see a sea of crowd. Though it was packed, it was passable. ๐Ÿ˜ After seeing the Glico Man, time for shopping!

dotonbori7.jpg

Though tiring and lots of walking, I enjoyed the sceneries of bright lights and the cheerful vibe of Dotonbori. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hopefully, I can visit the place in Spring or Autumn.

Thanks for reading

That is it for this blog. I will see you at the next one!

People were respectful of the space and took turns.

not only that, their reputation for honesty is exceptional too. I recall a vlogger who accidentally left her purse, with cash inside, during a tour. When she returned a week later, it was safely in lost and found, everything accounted for. Compare natin sa Pinas, ay nvm na lang pala๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Yes, there was no line but people were respectful to take turns. ๐Ÿ˜Š It was hot during day time too kaya night time was more charming with lanterns. ๐Ÿฎโœจ
