Bag in the tapestry technique, a project with another result

Hace algún tiempo me apunté en un curso online para perfeccionar mi tejido en tapestry. Tapestry es una técnica dentro de la gama del crochet, con esta técnica se puede tejer a la vez con varios hilos de diferentes colores y así lograr diseños increíbles, novedosos y muy llamativos.

Por lo general, esta técnica se teje a partir de un patrón, ya que para formar los motivos, la variante en cada vuelta por lo general es significativa. Es una técnica que al momento de tejer, requiere mucha concentración del lado del tejedor, por la cantidad de cambios que involucra en el cambio de los colores.

Some time ago I signed up for an online course to perfect my tapestry weaving. Tapestry is a technique within the range of crochet, with this technique you can knit at the same time with several threads of different colors and thus achieve incredible, novel and very striking designs.

Usually this technique is knitted from a pattern, since to form the motifs, the variation in each round is usually significant. It is a technique that, when knitting, requires a lot of concentration on the part of the weaver, due to the amount of changes involved in changing the colors.

Como en cada uno de los proyectos que me planteo, una de las tareas primordiales, es seleccionar los hilos que voy a utilizar. Una vez seleccionados, los coloqué para que la hebra fuese doble. Amé esta combinación.

Inicié el curso online muy entusiasmada y dispuesta a perfeccionar mi técnica, resulta que este curso no resultó lo esperado. Para comenzar me sorprendió, que el punto utilizado fuese el punto alto, el principio de esta técnica es punto bajo, y pudiese tener una variante de medio punto alto, se usan estos puntos para garantizar que el diseño se visualice apropiadamente.

I started the online course very enthusiastic and willing to perfect my technique, it turns out that this course did not turn out as expected. To begin with, I was surprised that the stitch used was the double crochet, the principle of this technique is single crochet, and it could have a variant of half double crochet, these stitches are used to guarantee that the design is displayed appropriately.

Otra decepción, es que por más que siguiese el patrón, el resultado no era plano, este resultado debía ser un plato, y se volvía bolso. Destejí muchísimas veces, iba de nuevo al patrón y nada. Finalmente, desistí y le di la vuelta a este tema, lo volví bolso.

Another disappointment is that no matter how much I followed the pattern, the result was not flat, this result should have been a plate, and it turned into a bag. I unweaved many times, went back to the pattern and nothing. Finally, I gave up and turned this issue around, turned it into a bag.

Le coloqué unos flecos en la orilla para darle una apariencia "hippie", lo cual me gusta en este tipo de resultados, que no es el esperado, más puedo sacar algo útil de este proceso.

I placed some fringes on the edge to give it a "hippie" appearance, which I like in this type of results, which is not expected, but I can get something useful out of this process.

Para el tiro de este bolso me propuse tejer un cordón usando cuatro colores de hilos diferentes este es un cordón muy hermoso. Tejí 120 centímetros de largo, se teje muy rápido.

Aún me falta hacerle un forro al bolso, pegar el tiro al bolso. Pronto lo terminaré y les mostraré el resultado.

For the shot of this bag I decided to weave a cord using four different colors of threads, this is a very beautiful cord. I knitted 120 centimeters long, it knits very quickly.

I still need to make a lining for the bag, glue the shot to the bag. I will finish it soon and show you the result.
