The stone, the first material of humanity.
The stone, the first material of humanity.
Here you will present my experience when using this noble and ancient material; You may be living in mountainous areas and stone is a more than usual material because it is part of the raw material that is close to but areas far from mountainous areas such as plains, stone was never a very economical material because basically it is a heavy material, the freight made it very expensive and with which it practically did not use it, but with time and as the demand increased, the market realized that there was really an important business there, and new suppliers, new varieties and new varieties began to appear. prices became more accessible.
Decorative stones are not a new material within construction but in recent times we have seen them more massively in publications, graphics, in pinterest, and neither more nor less than in the landscape that we travel daily.
In my city and in neighboring towns they have used the blocks are stones, there are large ones, irregular shapes, they are not usually made too many cuts they are typical of mountainous areas as I told you before and as they are large they are used almost like a construction system stacking one block on top of another, as we would for example with bricks.
On the other hand, there is the stone cladding, the cladding is made with cuts made on the blocks, this allows to obtain thinner pieces of less weight that can be used as cladding and in short, almost the same effect is achieved as with the blocks, they can come In two different forms in quite rustic and irregular blocks or on the other hand, more regular, straighter forms can come, and they can even come in the form of meshes mounted on one on cardboard or fiber plates, they can be placed directly on the wall and to the market it assembles them in such a way that only one uses it almost as a coating, achieving that rustic stone effect that is so pleasant.
But stone is not for exclusive use outside, there are very good results with stones indoors; the stones in the facades is the general thing, he recommended that you never place them on the block or bare brick, on the raw brick because there is always a latent risk of water passing between the joints of the stones, especially if they are irregular and they end up translating that as humidity in the interiors, the ideal in these cases is to first make a waterproof waterproof plaster on the brick so that moisture does not pass and then a thick plaster to even the entire surface, there directly if you can place the stone as a coating by achieving two basic things, on the one hand you will avoid the risk of moisture passing into the interiors and on the other hand, by having a much flatter base, we will also consume much less adhesive mixture to create the stone.
The other case is the use of stones in the interior, there are really many cases and situations in which they can be placed and the truth is that the effects are the truth that varied and very pleasant, in principle in the interiors it would not be necessary that you do plaster Although the usual thing is that if it is placed on a thick plaster, but in this case, since it is not exposed to the elements, the risks of leaks do not exist, so if you want you can save yourself the rebound.
When placing stones we understand that it is a matter of aesthetics, we are talking about tastes and as the saying goes "about tastes there is nothing written" and we are not going to go into fashion issues, because I say who is who to say what is right and what is wrong but, use the stone, study the environment and what you want to transmit and I assure you that you will have very good results using the stone.
I hope the information is useful when making a decision, do not forget to support me and we will read next time, bye.

I like it when walls are made of stones, they give a natural beauty to the structure.
That's right, it also gives a warm touch to the place ...
Indeed (^_^)
Stone is a memorable material for architecture and as you say it has become accessible for construction and even economical as in the case of flagstones for some applications and wall coverings, this allows for a striking finish and beautiful appearance. Blessings @jhonnygo, it has been useful your publication.
