My Morning Coffee Ritual

Greetings!

Two months ago, I have adapted to having early morning coffee, I mean it's literally the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning.

As I wake in the morning, I find myself drawn to my small kitchen, pulled by the promise of that first cup of coffee. It's more than just a beverage for me, it's a ritual that sets my entire day. The simple act of pouring Nescafé into my mug is like a gentle wake-up call for my senses. As I wait for the water to boil, listening to the street vendors, I can almost taste the coffee even before it's made.

As I pour the steaming water into my mug, stirring my coffee slowly, I put my favorite music to play( titled - believer's anthem by Frank Edwards). I can't take my coffee without this song in the morning.

When the coffee is ready, I take my favorite mug, sit on my bed, listen to my favorite song and browse the internet. After taking my coffee, then and only then can I go about my day. That first sip is always the best, hot and strong, causing my taste buds to wake and clearing the cobwebs from my mind.

It's actually a moment of peace, of reflection, before the rush of the day takes over. Only after I've finished my coffee do I think about breakfast maybe I'll grab a quick bowl of custard and bread, or tea and bread, or getting ready for work. This quiet time with my coffee is sacred, a small act of self-care that grounds me and prepares me for whatever life might throw my way today.

Hello.
I also usually have my first coffee of the day in front of the computer, reading an article of interest.
I like to leave time for that moment...so if I have a lot to do, I get up earlier...to have that private moment.
Greetings, @jezmaine

This is a figurative description. Very apt. The seconds while you wait for the water to boil are always filled with anticipation and pulsing taste buds. I certainly know what it's like.
