Why I Hate Christmas.
The reason I hate christmas is not because I don't believe in christmas, but because christmas period is a period of dejection for me. I feel lonely, I feel dejected, I don't feel loved like others, I feel suppressed, I become an alien in this world.
I seldom talk about myself, except when it is very necessary. Some have said that I'm a complex, controversial person. I know, because it's complex for me to talk about myself too.🤦🏽♂️
As a believer in and follower of Jesus Christ, I belong to a society where many believers like me (but not as me 🌝), believe in and celebrate christmas.
The Background
I was not born into Christendom but I joined Christendom precisely July 2011, about 12 year ago. I came from a Muslim family. After a year of secretly going to a house church, I told my dad that I could no longer toe the line of his religion and begged him to allow me be going to church.
As at that time, Jesus could no longer accept my secret followership, He revealed this to me in Matthew 10: 37, 38. When I told my dad, it became a serious issue and he eventually sent me out of his house. I knew my dad, and I knew the implications of what I told him too, so I was no surprised, neither was I offended. I loved my dad much more, I know it was not easy for him too, I knew he had to send me out.
I suffered much after he sent me out, but I survived by the grace of God. But the most important in all these is that I studied the Bible more. Also, I could now go to church as I wanted. I learnt many things in the Bible through practical experience, even as I read. Jesus' teachings became became more real to me, my eyes were opened to the Word, an entrance was given me into the Word.
The reason I'm saying all these is to establish the fact that I studied the Bible (it took me three years to complete and I'm still studying it). I also did some research on the internet when necessary. Before my conversion, I had always heard that Christians serve a pagan god by celebrating christmas and there was nothing like christmas celebration in the Bible and christmas was an import from the old pagan Roman Empire. And I found all these and more to be true.

Christmas is nothing more than a scheme.
One of the reasons I don't believe and celebrate or participate in christmas is because it was not instituted by Jesus neither was it instituted or practiced by his Apostles.
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." (Act 2:42)
"Whoever goes beyond, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son." (2Jn 1:9)
The only practice where Jesus commands "do this in remembrance of me" (Luke 22:19), is the feast of the Passover, the feast of the unleavened bread, which is now translated to be the holy communion.
About six years ago something happened which made the pastor of my church to notice that I was not in church for a service. He saw me later and asked why I was not in church and I told him (naively) that it was a Christmas carol service and I don't partake in such. He asked me why and I told him because there is nothing like christmas in the Bible and Jesus and his Apostles never commanded nor practiced it.
He said "so those of us doing it are sinners?" I replied "no", then he said that the Apostles could not do it because during their period it was a period of persecution so they could not celebrate but the church is now enjoying a period of peace so we can celebrate the birth of the Lord then he left, saying that I do not have understanding and some other things I can't remember. That day I was not quick to realise that I had spoken too much and that I was arguing with the presiding pastor of my church.
A few months later our paths crossed and he asked me "have you stop being a heretic?" I was shocked and sad afterwards "why could you call me a heretic" I thought. I was very depressed for some time after that, especially when I had to go to church.
The second reason why I don't partake in Christmas is because Christmas celebration is an insult to the person of Jesus. Or you could say it is blasphemy.
Another incident... I asked a brother sitting beside me yesterday (25th December) during Sunday service "so how old is Jesus now?", he looked straight at me with a puzzled face and repeated the question. I said "yes, how old is Jesus now?" he was confused for a moment, then said "I don't know", then I said "do you know your age?", "yes" he replied, "how do you know your age?" I asked. "Because I know my date of birth" he replied, then I said "since you know Jesus' date of birth, how old is Jesus now?" he then returned the question to me and said "okay, how old is Jesus?" I laughed. He was a smart guy, maybe he guessed the question was a trap, but I was really glad he didn't give me any number.
Jesus came into the world in flesh for a purpose but he had existed before the creation of the world. He is the Lord of Lords, the King of kings. He is the priest after the Order of Melchizedek, (Hebrews 5:6). Celebrating christmas is a celebration of flesh (in a context), which the Bible in discourages. Jesus wants us to remember his death and in so doing rejoice in His resurrection, not His birth.
Jesus Himself says, "... Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. (John 8:58)
John the beloved says" All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (see John 1: 1-10)
Jesus, in an instance, sways people from giving credence to the fact that He was born of a woman because that is not the important thing to Him. The important thing to Him is that we hear His word and keep it (do it), (Luke 11: 27, 28).
Jesus, in another instance tries to prove to people that He is greater than what they were taking Him to be because is the Christ. (please read Matthew 22: 41 to 46).
It is clear to me that christmas celebration is taking Jesus for less than what He really is. To me, it is belittling His person and His great status. People who celebrate christmas don't really know who Jesus is.
( so many things I would like to say, but for time, therefore I will highlight a few things and conclude. I hope I would have time to write a part 2 of this article next time)
Did I mention the historical origin of christmas? Well, it was an import from pagan Roman Empire. It started when Rome adopted Christianity as state religion. (please do well to research yourself, same as Sunday Sabbath).
Lastly, another reason why I CAN'T partake in christmas is because of its implication on the gospel of Christ and the will of God. For the gospel to progress, Christendom must detach herself completely from her ancient alliance with Rome, and that means putting an end to the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
Okay, to conclude, I was having a conversation with a friend in the neighbourhood and he said that why am I in the church where they celebrate Christmas and I don't. I answered "we have many other things in common, which we do together, but when it gets to things that we don't have in common I stay aloof for the moment". You know how I started this article... It is "that moment" and that's why I hate christmas.

I am happy to read when someone has found Yeshua, only the meanings around his words completely pass you by.... I don't find that great.
I don't understand your profile status, because I see... what Jesus (Yeshua) says:
Matthew 23:15 (to whom are his words addressed?) what is a proselyte?
Matthew 23, 32 ( breeding of vipers?)
1.THESSALONIANS 2, 14 (who had the anointed of God put to death and killed his prophets and persecuted the rest?)
The REVELATION 2:9 ( who pretend to belong to the people of God and serve the synagogue of Satan?)
A Christian can be anyone, but an Israelite is one by descent.
If you look at google, 94% are Ashkenazim, but how can they be Israelites if they have Gomer for a father? GENESIS 10:3 and God's judgment on them in EZEKIEL 38.
The descendants of Israel are from Jacob, who was renamed Israel by God Himself, thus the people of Israel are not subdivided to any geographical assignment, nor to any religion, they are Israelites because they are descended from Jacob= Israel... the Europeans of today.
ASHER = Sweden
DAN = Denmark
MANASSAH = USA
BENJAMIN = Iceland
ISSACHAR = Finland
EPHRAIM = England, Canada- Australia, New Zealand

JUDAH = second son Serach= Irish and Scottish
😊
I appreciate your comments.
But I'm NOT the kind of Jew you pointed above, in Revelations 2:9 and Matthew.
I'm the kind of Jew in Romans 2: 28, 29
You obviously don't understand me, because you don't know me.
That is a well chosen verse, very good.
Nice to have discovered your post, I am interested in the views of fellow believers on the teachings of Yeshua the anointed of God.
With the help of a concordance it is possible to study all the word studies in all the original scriptures, really recommended.
What is in our hearts YHVH alone knows and we humans have Matthew 7:16 and much more to help us.
2 Timothy 3:16
16And undeniably great is the mystery of godliness: God is manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of the angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
You know, I like the fact that you're quoting from the New Testament, I'm guessing you are a follower of Yeshua. And I'm also guessing you're a Jew by nature... 🌝🌚
Well, when I first studied the Bible, I didn't use any material or human resources to help with the study. Not that I didn't want to but I couldn't get any as at the time. But now I know it was my God that made it so and I'm glad for it today.
You're not quite right yet, I'm not a Jew but a Judean.... a descendant of the Israelites.
Yeshua sent me his helper in my greatest need and he guides me into the truth. That is why I can distinguish well between Canaanites and Judeans. Because God YHVH gave Moses the prohibition with the Canaanites, it is very important to me... to obey God's will. 😊
I really do not understand what you are trying to say here. To me, all Israelites are Jews now. Did you read the encounter of Jeshua with that woman at the well of Jacob in John chapter 4?
Part of the mission of Yeshua is to unite Israel bact to their God, cos He (Jeshua) is King over Israel like king David was, not just over Judah.
Oh and YES, I do not separate Old and New Testament because they are one and the same people. What you can check with the genealogy.
And of course I am a follower of Yeshua, because only he leads to the Father. And how we recognise the Antichrist spirit, which is not of God YHVH, is in JOHN 4:2.
The separation between the Old and New Testaments came about after the Book of Yachar was removed, thus creating a historical gap.
I think it's great if you study the scriptures, and every person with a heart is welcome with Yeshua, because he is the Good Shepherd.

I think I have repeated over that I'm a student of the Bible... 🌝
I studied the whole Bible in 3 years... And I'm still studying it. Cos the wisdom and truth in it can not be exhausted.
That's nice that you're studying the books.
Have you studied the Book of Revelation? And did you notice anything in this book in relation to world events?
Please did you see my previous article "When You Become An Asset In The Hands of God"? I would like your view on it?

When I have read it, I will be happy to get back to you on it and we can exchange ideas ok.
Thank you very much and have a nice evening. 😊
Jonah did not want to go to Nineveh because he wanted the people there to be punished for their evil deeds.
But God saw hope in the people of Nineveh because they had no one to teach them the ways of God, and God chose Jonah for this task.
He hardened his heart and acted foolishly in trying to escape God.... But God put everything in place so that he could still accomplish his task and bring Ninivie into God's ways.
A great story and very instructive.
Have you also thought about the fact that God did not show this grace and mercy to Sodom and Gomorrah? That's because he saw no hope in them and so destroyed them.... With the exception of Lot's family.
I understand your message from the story of Jonah, but you fail to understand that you are telling me to treat the Canaanites the same way where God specifically forbids it. The question now is, should I listen to you or listen to what God is telling me regarding the Canaanites? And that's exactly what Yeshua did, because he turned away the Canaanite woman who asked him for help.
Why do you think he did that?
😊 Honestly I would like us to have a proper conversation, like friends.
I would like to speak with voice note... Please can we connect via WhatsApp?

We are friends through faith in Yeshua Messiah and that is special at this time.
Thank you for the offer of a Whatsapp exchange, only my number is reserved for my environment.
For security reasons alone, as the whole EU is besieged and controlled by Canaanites and their proselytes.
I'm not sure, but there might be a function to be able to send me a private message via this platform, try that.
Yeah, we're friends through faith in Yeshua.
I find it funny 😊 as you keep mentioning Canaanites, cos I don't really understand what you mean, but I wish I understood you.
Are you on discord? We can talk on discord we don't have to exchange numbers. Cos I don't know about any private chat here?
You know what's even funnier? 🤣
That the Canaanites have always had different names in 109 parts of world history, in over thousands of years, and right now they are claiming a lineage and name from biblical antiquity that belongs to my people and I have studied pretty accurate facts about it.
In their own encyclopaedia, for example, it is clear that they are not descendants of the Israelites.
The thief has been exposed by God YHVH, for there is nothing hidden in him that would not be revealed.
Oh... I think I'm beginning to see that Scripture... Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. " (Rev. 3:9)
I know this contention is going to get more serious as the return of Christ draws near.
My own issue here is Christians mock me and criticise me because I claim to be Jewish. Many don't like me for that. And I don't see reason why they shouldn't. But I don't really blame them it is because they don't understand me.
I don't want to offend you, but for real Christians and especially Israelites, this is also an insult.
I try to explain it to them.
They don't know the difference between Canaanite Jews (law and teaching, the Talmud) and Israelite Judeans (law and teaching of the Bible).
After the Babylonian exile, the Canaanite Jews and the priesthood, called Pharisees in the Bible, mingled with the Israelites, so all those who lived in Judea were called Judeans.
Until the time of Ahaz, king of Israel, who, according to chronology, lived from 3264 to
3280 after the fall of Adam, or from 720 to 376 BC,
the name "Jew" does not appear in the Scriptures.
So for years before, they were known by other names, namely Canaanite.
The Pharisees at that time were already teaching the legislation and doctrines, of the Babylonian Talmud but not the laws God gave to Moses.... they only kept them for themselves, but did not give them to the people.
Thus the Pharisees closed the kingdom of heaven from the people, as described in Matthew 23.
I'm not offended.
To me you seem to be contradicting yourself... Cos I see many places in the Bible where the word "Jew" is used to represent the true descendants of Abraham in the flesh and Jew is said to be a Jew, Apostle Paul calls himself a Jew, many other things... so why you saying Jews / Judeans...
Honestly, let's end this conversation. I'm not enjoying it here.
Honestly, let's end this conversation. I'm not enjoying it here.
Abraham had two wives!!!
The maid Hager from Egypt and Abraham's real WIFE SARAH, who gave birth to Isaac, who fathered Jacob, from him came the Israelites!
The others whether they have Abraham as their father or not doesn't matter, they are not Israelites!
For if they understand the Bible, then they can read that they said In verse 33 of John 8, the Jews said;
We have never been anyone's servants.
If they had been Israelites, they could not honestly make this statement.
have made; for all 12 tribes were in slavery in Egypt, and
later they were "Ten Tribes" in Assyrian captivity under
Shalmanezer.
At the time when they said they had never been in slavery,
they even there under the Romans.
Just so they know, today's Canaanite Jews hate Jesus, in the Talmud he is celebrated by them in boiling excrement.
So it is ridiculous to pretend to be a Jew, because what we should understand by Jews... an Israelite would not be a Talmudist.
Israelites love Jesus and those who profess Jesus are Christians, so for Jesus.
The Jews, whose teaching is the Talmud, hate Jesus. So antichrists.
They cannot be an Israelite, because one is by one's descent, but if they are for Jesus Christ with all their heart and soul, then they are a Christian! Someone who professes Jesus.
Unfortunately I can't discuss here.
When your heart and soul; Jesus Christ, then I would recommend you, as one of the (lost sheep of Israel), to stop pretending to be a Jew.
If you profess to be a Christian instead, you are for Jesus and confess that Jesus came into the world in flesh.🙏
