Strolling in the city, enjoying an open-air concert (English/Spanish)

Loving greetings to all my Hive friends, especially to all of you who share your Wednesday adventures in this beautiful community every week. This week's ride was simply spectacular. My dear @aly.squid and I decided to go out on our bike and enjoy a wonderful ride to the city to attend an amazing concert at the Plaza Maria del Carmen Ramirez. This square is known by everyone in the city as Plaza Los Mangos, it is one of the most important public spaces in the city of San Cristobal. Unfortunately it had been abandoned for years, until fortunately the current mayor's office has proposed to recover different spaces and this is one of them.

This is the second concert that Aly and I have been to and the experience has been tremendously pleasant. The first concert was Rock and of course I shared it with you in this beautiful community. This time I bring you my experience in the second one that had salsa, merengue and vallenato as its theme. All these shows are free and are part of the flow andes fest, an initiative of the municipality to provide spaces for local bands of all genres. The groups that performed this time had an impressive mastery of the Colombian Salsa, Merengue and Vallenato genres, which made us dance and sing all night long. But that was not all, we also had the opportunity to enjoy a small craft exhibition, organized by the same mayor's office, this generates us much satisfaction as the fests are taking a multidisciplinary course, something that besides enriching them, gives many artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork.

In the exhibition we saw incredible things handmade by talented local artisans and from other parts of the country. Although there were several things created with natural and traditional raw materials, what surprised us the most was the alternative handicraft space, where different works created with metal pieces were shown, from screws, to machine parts and engines, together in super aesthetic compositions with shapes of cars, helicopters, musical instruments and motorcycles. Although the pieces fit perfectly in my hands, they were extremely heavy, as they were pure iron.

The plaza was full of energetic and joyful people, which created a festive and exciting atmosphere. The couples dancing in the middle of the square were really eye-catching, delighting us with their professional moves during the salsa and merengue performance. After enjoying the music, we headed in front of the plaza where we found a hot dog stand that we love, Wow hot dog! We couldn't resist the temptation and indulged ourselves with a delicious fast food. The hot dogs were very rich and colorful, this made us even happier, because we seemed to have all the elements for a successful night on the town.

Finally, we started our way back home at 1 am. It was a quiet 40-minute ride on the open road, with the wind in our faces and the satisfaction of having lived an incredible experience. Undoubtedly, this ride will remain engraved in our memory as a night full of fun, good music and unforgettable moments. We hope they will organize the next concert soon.

De paseo en la ciudad, disfrutando de un concierto al aire libre (Ingles/Español)

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, especialmente a todos los que cada semana comparten sus aventuras e los miércoles en esta hermosa comunidad. El paseo de esta semana fue simplemente espectacular. Mi querida @aly.squid y yo decidimos salir en nuestra moto y disfrutar de un maravilloso paseo a la ciudad para asistir a un increíble concierto en la plaza María del Carmen Ramírez. Esta plaza es conocida por todos en la ciudad como Plaza Los Mangos, es uno es los espacios públicos más importantes de la ciudad de San Cristóbal. Lamentándolo mucho haba tenido años de abandono, hasta que afortunadamente la alcaldía actual se ha propuesto a recuperar diferentes espacio y este es uno de ellos.

Este es el segundo concierto al que vamos Aly y yo y la experiencia ha sido tremendamente agradable. El primer concierto fue de Rock y por supuesto que lo compartí con ustedes en esta bella comunidad. Esta vez les traigo mi experiencia en el segundo que tenía por temática la salsa, el merengue y el vallenato. Todos estos espectáculos son gratuitos y forman parte del flow andes fest, una iniciativa de la municipalidad para brindar espacios a las bandas musicales locales, de todos los géneros. Los grupos que se presentaron esta vez tenían un dominio impresionante de los géneros de Salsa, Merengue y Vallenato colombiano, lo que nos hizo bailar y cantar durante toda la noche. Pero eso no fue todo, también tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar de una pequeña exposición artesanal, organizada por la misma alcaldía, esto nos genera mucha satisfacción ya que los fest están tomando un rumbo multidisciplinario, algo que además de enriquecerlos, le brinda a muchos artistas y cultores la oportunidad de exponer y vender su trabajo artístico.

En la exposición vimos cosas increíbles hechas a mano por talentosos artesanos locales y de otras partes de país. Aunque habían barias cosas creadas con materia prima natural y tradicional, lo que más nos sorprendió fue el espacio de artesanía alternativa, donde se mostraron diferentes obras creadas con piezas metálicas, desde tornillos, hasta piezas de máquinas y motores, juntas en composiciones súper estéticas con formas de automóviles, helicópteros, instrumentos musicales y motocicletas. A pesar de que las piezas cabían perfectamente en mis manos, eran extremadamente pesadas, ya que se trataba de puro hierro.

La plaza estaba repleta de gente enérgica y alegre, lo que creó un ambiente festivo y emocionante. Las parejas que bailaban en medio de plaza eran realmente llamativas, nos deleitaron con sus movimientos profesionales durante la presentación de salsa y merengue. Después de disfrutar de la música, nos dirigimos frente a la plaza donde se encuentra una venta de hot dogs que nos encanta, ¡Wow hot dog! No pudimos resistir la tentación y nos deleitamos con una deliciosa comida rápida. Los hot dogs estaban muy ricos y coloridos, esto nos hizo aún más felices, porque parecíamos tener todos los elementos para una exitosa noche en la ciudad.

Finalmente, emprendimos el regreso a casa a la 1 de la madrugada. Fue un viaje tranquilo de 40 minutos por carretera abierta, con el viento en nuestro rostro y la satisfacción de haber vivido una experiencia increíble. Sin duda alguna, este paseo quedará grabado en nuestra memoria como una noche llena de diversión, buena música y momentos inolvidables. Esperamos que pronto organicen el próximo concierto.
