Coffee and the complicity with delicacies.
Love greetings to all my Hive friends, especially coffee lovers. This week I was encouraged to participate in The Coffee Shop Prompt, because besides coffee, something I love about coffee shops, are the incredible delicacies they offer to accompany a good cup of coffee. But this time I want to tell you about a special coffee shop. I have already told you about it several times, because I have shared some of the coffees they serve in this wonderful place. It is La Gran Harvest.
As I mentioned before, this coffee shop is owned by a Venezuelan, but it was developed as a brand in Colombia. Therefore, its production brings together the essence of Colombian and Venezuelan coffee and bakery. This is how La Gran cosecha arrives in Venezuelan territory, of course in the state of Táchira, which is the state with the friendliest border with Colombia, and offers us an enormous variety of coffees, breads and desserts. This is not surprising, since both Venezuela and Colombia have an extraordinary coffee production and the state of Táchira is recognized throughout Venezuela for its excellent bread. Colombia is not far behind.
Anyway, from the first day I went to La Gran Harvest I fell in love with a delicacy that came from the Colombian bakery: cheese fingers. It is a flaky dough in the shape of a cylinder that, of course, is filled with cheese. As I said before, Táchira State is known for its good bread, but in reality it is very difficult to get a good puff pastry dough. But in La gran cosecha, the puff pastry is wonderful, in flavor and texture, as well as plenty of cheese inside.
Since then it became one of my fascinations. Every time I go to La gran cosecha I ask for a cup of coffee, and no matter if it is an American coffee, a latte, a cappuccino or mocaccino; I always ask for my cheese finger to go with my coffee. I love the combination, my partner always makes it a point not to forget to stop by my cheese finger and coffee at The Great Harvest every time we go to town. Since another great detail, we live about 30 miles away from the city where our favorite coffee shop and bakery is located.
Sometimes we have driven our motorcycle for more than an hour, just to go enjoy a good coffee and a finger of cheese. But it's always worth the effort of the trip, because both are a complete delight. The pictures I leave you are from the last two times I went a few days ago. On one of the occasions I was in town for work and the other for fun. By the way, La gran cosecha has two locations in the city, one of them I like more than the other, because of the attention and the physical space. But in terms of products both are spectacular. So I'm happy to share with you this experience and my guilty taste for cheese fingers.
I say goodbye for now leaving you a big hug. See you soon dear friends.
